"what do you say to a trip to the beach?" and by beach, she definitely meant her fathers yacht.

SINGLE SOON — 2023, dir. Philip Andelman
Jenna had known she could be difficult. She got snappy when the migraines hit, she hid her abilities from Felicity, she had bouts of panic where she couldn't leave her apartment, which ruined plans at times.... The words had cut like a knife. She hadn't gone after her despite her intuition screaming for her to.
Jenna leaned against her kitchen counter, tears falling freely down her face. She still wasn't over Felicity's death. How could she be? It was her fault-
The words, combined with the feeling of someone's hand on her face made her jump, backing up until her back hit the opposite counter. She stared at the entity, wide eyed, unsure how she'd gotten into the protected apartment. Blinking a few times through her slightly drunken haze, she finally registered who it was.
"Lis?"
it was a fluke, right? a fluke that jenna had jumped back when her fingers had brushed against her? this had been a bad idea. she shouldn't be here but she needed to know jenna was okay. needed jenna to know she didn't actually hate her. but then jenna just happened to say her nickname, causing the ghost to just stare at the other.
"i never meant those words." her voice felt a little clearer this time. in hopes that maybe this wasn't a fluke and maybe she could actually talk to jenna again. "i was stupid that day," she went on to explain, gaze falling to the floor. "you never made me wake up wishing that i were dead. but it's fucking funny as hell that i died the next day."
“not a day goes by that i don’t wake up wishing i was dead because of you.” maybe not the words felicity should have used for the last time she spoke to them, but how was she supposed to know the very next day she would die. the world had a cruel sense of humor - and any other time, felicity would have appreciated it. but not now. not when she couldn't touch them. her fingers brushed against their cheek, sigh falling from her lips. "i never meant those words," she whispered even though she knew they couldn't hear her.
@sunshinestm Muse: Bo Shaffer | FC: Chord Overstreet Connection: Friend, Best Friends? Plot: Random Bo had been riding his horse around the farm, giving the stallion his daily exercise while also making his rounds. He had made note of the repairs that needed to be tended to before the animals escaped, and the fact that the tractor seemed to be out of commission.
The horse trotted up towards the barn, though Bo brought him to a stop before coming up to the large building. “Woah, Whiskey!” When the stallion came to a stop, Bo dismounted, and led Whiskey over to the nearest hitching post.
He had seen her as he’d ridden up, the sight of her bringing a smile to his features. “Hey there, Miss. Felicity. What brings you out to the farm?”
"you know, bo, that's one of the reasons you're my favorite out of the friend group." she grins. always calling her miss felicity instead of just felicity. something they used to make fun of him about for a while. she'd be lying if she had said she hadn't at one point too. but then things had changed. everyone got a bit older and learned how hurtful that shit could be. felicity leaned up against the barn probably looking out of place with her outfit let alone her shoes.
"the group was wondering if you'd like to hang out with us at the pool." as much as she hated swimming, she still loved spending time sunbathing in the grass taking a nap or reading. "if you'd rather not, maybe you and i can go do something?" she'd just have to decide on what. or at least give him some options. but she wanted to know if he'd rather hang out with just her or if he'd rather them all hang out.

@sunshinestm inquired; “I don’t like the idea of you walking down the streets all alone.”
“Don’t worry, Felicity, I always go for walks this late to clear my head. It’s only a few times a month thing,” Lorra did her best to reassure the ghost, a pleasant smile on her lips. She’d only had a handful of unpleasant encounters thus far, and none of them had killed her yet. She loved how quiet the city was this late.
“She’s not going to listen,” Eleanora chimed in with a small eye roll. The spirit didn’t appreciate her sister’s lack of self preservation in the slightest, but she’d given up on trying to convince the younger woman.
“oh, i'm absolutely going to worry." felicity states even while glancing over towards Eleanora. "she really should care. we can't protect her." could they? but even then, why would someone risk their life to go outside this late for a walk of all things. "few times a month." she scoffed. "all you need is that one time in the wrong place at the wrong time." felicity would know.
Fuck, Selena.
Can I get a refund as well?
"for a dead girl i've never felt so alive."

@sunshinestm inquired : ❝ sorry. i didn’t think you were home. ❞
Lorra glanced up a moment, briefly, before her attention is back on the object she’s set on repairing. Once her focus was on something, it was hard to break it. She could hear Ella’s soft giggles in the background, though she pays no mind to her for once.
“It’s quite alright, dearie,” she answered with a small shrug. “Something I can help you with? Or are you just hanging out?”
"just hanging out." felicity responds, watching the other work on whatever she was trying to repair. dying had been hard for her. she had been a socialite. and now she was dead with no one to talk to but herself and maybe a few other ghosts. but then lorra had unexpectedly waltzed into her life. someone that could actually respond to her. and felicity had been thrilled at that aspect. "never really asked if it was cool that i pop in from time to time. you're okay with it, right?"
today I work 2-close and then tomorrow I work 11am-3pm. After that, I’m free until Thursday since a coworker wanted my Wednesday shift since I am taking her shift today.
