I donāt consider myself a radical shipper, which is why Iām guilty of drawing a few different ships in regards to Narutoā¦ I can say, though, ever since the ending of the series, and after spending a lot of time in the pairingsā tags here on Tumblr, Iām drawn to NaruSaku a lot more than Iāve ever been. NaruSaku tags is where I feel the most connection to the Naruto fandom.
I like the warmth and passion of their dynamic. I love the tangible moments between them in the manga. I love the realisticness of their friendship and how we were given signals along the way that their (more so: Sakuraās) feelings could be growing.
But honestly, I think above all else, coming from someone who has always been pulling for Sakura even though she sometimes frustrated me-deep down I loved her character. I always felt uneasy though because the character Iād see her become whenever Sasuke was involved was a character I didnāt really care for. She lost her light and confidence-who she was whenever Sasuke seemed involved. And around Naruto she really could be herself. She strove to protect something, to be strong, to smile more. At least in my opinion, that is. I know everyone has a billion and one other opinions that could combat these thoughts.
But I do Ā consider myself a NaruSaku shipper, though Iām not sure if thatās the only pairing Iāll ever draw Sakura or Naruto with. Because I like exploring.
This couple definitely holds a soft spot in my heart. I hope you can enjoy this silly drawing, because regardless of the shipping wars and the crazy feelings I have for this last movie and OOC-ness weāve gotten in the ending of Naruto, Iām just happy to be drawing again. It makes me finally feel like a person making silly fanart like I used to.
