The post with the highest notes is expressions and I was reading through a couple of the comments on it and it made me smile! I’m super happy I wrote that even though whenever I read through I see some things I could’ve done better.

The emoji post I made that I shared with others is also another thing that I’m happy I made. Whenever I browse tags for other fandoms and see someone writing with the prompts I made I feel like I contributed to something even outside of my reach. Not that I’m taking credit for other blog’s work lol but it does make me excited to find someone using it for a fandom that I didn’t even know existed prior to writing it.

So what I’m saying is that this blog has given me a lot of good. This post is sort of like a wayward thank you letter, but there’s just one thing that makes me feel not good, but it’s none of your guy’s fault.

Hi, I’d like to request a love rating for Volkner please!

I’m sensitive to loud noises and also very anxious/have panic attacks. I like to think I’m smart enough and I very much value intelligence, honesty, and learning. I am absolutely fascinated by languages, cultures, and the like, and honestly I could ramble forever about them as well as about interests of mine (Pokémon for example). I love writing and reading, and I’m also fond of listening to music. I enjoy physical affection, but I also really value what’s said and what’s done as a show of feelings. I am emotional and artsy, but I also have a logical side — I love riddles and word games. And yes, I’m a fan of puns as well! I’m not the kind to do something halfway — if I do it, I do it to the best of my ability. When I’m passionate, I’m passionate — think accidentally writing 19 pages or several paragraphs worth on a topic I initially expected to just expand on ‘a bit’. I do have a bit of a competitive spirit, but it doesn’t consume me — I value my friends more than I value winning. I’m pretty firm about what I believe in, unless logic and good argumentation persuade me otherwise. I’m a romantic at heart.

In regards to what I like about Volkner, I like how he’s not afraid to be himself and how he’s clearly very close friends with Flint despite how different they are. I also really empathize with him getting annoyed with battling because of not having had any good matches in a while. I love how passionate he is about battles as well as about the whole tinkering thing, and I like his snarkiness and his confidence.

♡ I think what would pull Volkner towards you in the first place is your pursuit for knowledge about different cultures and languages, as well as your interests in puzzles and the like. Being so intelligent, and being so passionate about those things as well as Pokemon would have him nodding along with you.

♡ Even before the two of you would become a thing, you would have long conversations with him about different topics. He’d be eager to have another discussion with you even after you’ve already finished one well into the night! Honestly, I think your passion would be pretty infectious for him and he might even start learning about different topics you mentioned in his own time just to be able to participate more.

♡ He doesn’t mind if you get carried away with your passions, either. If it takes a toll on your health somehow (think staying up all night because you got really into something) then he’d try to reel you in a bit (even though it’s… kind of hypocritical), but he’s also incredibly encouraging for you in his own way, without even realizing it himself. He admires the passionate side.

♡ Volkner might not be the most romantic guy. But after a while, he might start to feel guilty for not being romantic for you, and might start trying to do the basic stuff. It’d be a little into the relationship that he’d start doing this, but it’d feel like the two of you were restarting everything with how surprisingly stuttery he might get.

♡ I mentioned in other headcanons that I had for him that he’d start to see being romantic as a sort of competition for himself. But in this case, I think that he’d be so interested in sharing his thoughts with you that he wouldn’t really need to get to that point, which is why he starts doing it after the two of you get together.

♡ The same things that you admire and like about him are mostly the same things that he likes about you! It’s almost like the two of you could be cut from the same cloth, even if personality and interests might not be exactly the same.

♡ First of all, Grimsley is 100% supportive of you and your dreams. Whatever you want to accomplish in life, he’s there beside you. He may not be the world’s biggest hype man, but you can tell by the way he speaks to you and how he holds you close when you begin to doubt yourself that he believes that you’ll get what you want.

♡ He also understands how difficult reaching for your goals can be on bad days. Even if you’re getting over the worst parts of your depression, he knows that even in recovery, it can still hit you out of nowhere. He’s there for you on those days too.

♡ He doesn’t mind your quiet and reserved nature at all, in fact he enjoys it a lot! He can find just about anything interesting in any personality, but that’s because he’s a masterful teaser. He’ll probably try to get you out of your shell a little bit if you’ve already opened up more to him, and he’ll make sure you’re not too uncomfortable with it. He knows how loud you can be, so it shouldn’t be too hard, right?

♡ If you start to tease him like he does you, he’ll get a wide, sly grin on his face. He sees it not so much as a competition, but more like a game. Who can make who more flustered? He’s pretty good at it, but maybe he’ll take it easy on you for a bit to see how well you can do.

♡ Grimsley has a personality that may seem off-putting at the start, but in truth he can get along with nearly anyone. He doesn’t mind that you’re not a romantic at heart. If the two of you can enjoy each other’s company in complete silence, then that’s also good for him.

♡ As for hobbies he also loves cats, so he may join you on that one. He might ask questions about whatever video game you’re playing, interested just because you are, and may ask to read whatever it is you wrote, offering compliments and constructive criticism (if you want it, that is).

♡   Whoever says they don’t like height differences is a huge liar! Many might not mind that their significant other is around the same height, but no one can overlook the difference between someone short and someone tall. Shinsou’s almost a whole foot taller than you, and sometimes it makes his heart race and sometimes it makes for excellent source material when it comes to friendly banter.  

♡   Shinsou doesn’t like to make a big deal out of the small things, but he really does appreciate how understanding you are. He’s met so many people who aren’t and who judge based off preconceived notions that he defaults to expecting the worst in people at times. He does know the difference between good and bad, but there are times when the line is blurred and he’s just glad that it isn’t with you. It’s likely how the two of you began to get closer; you were so openminded and supportive that he couldn’t help but feel more comfortable with you! You also just made it easy for him to talk to you and you understand the stuff that he goes through. It didn’t take too long for him to start holding conversations with you simply because he wanted to. Your slightly sassy nature also makes him laugh every so often, which is definitely what he needs.

♡   He’s never really stepped foot outside of his comfort zone for a lot of things, but with you he wouldn’t mind doing so. When it comes to trying new foods or going new places he might just tag along, if not just to hang out more with you. He may be busy a lot, his free time is mostly spent on you.  

♡   With your hobbies, he’d make a note of what you like and dislike about it. He won’t make it too obvious, but he does want you to know that he listens just like you do for him. He’s not the type to make you do all the hard work in the relationship so you can bet that he’d pay attention to you and what you talk about. ♡   Going back to making sure he’d put in as much work into the relationship as you do, he’d be a little upset about how you withdraw sometimes when it comes to talking about how you feel or what you’re thinking. He’d understand because there are many times when he does it himself, but he’d want you to know that he’s there for you just like you’re there for him! He’d remind you of that from time to time, but like mentioned before, he doesn’t like to make a big deal out of things if he doesn’t have to. This could potentially be a flaw, but in a relationship where understanding and support is a huge factor, the two of you should be more than okay! He’s got those two in abundance the more time that passes and the more you show those these things in turn.  

♡   After learning about you more, he’d know not to touch you unless you specifically said it was okay. It takes a while for him to open up physical affection in the first place, so it’d likely never come up as a huge issue.

Oh MAN this is actually kinda hard lmao....hm....

Now that my inbox is empty and I’m happier with the desktop version of this blog, I want to open up requests again for a special event! I’ve been running this blog for more than a year, but I haven’t really done anything other than write simple Valentine’s Day cards. I didn’t want to do match-ups because I was worried about not pairing you with who you wanted. Instead, I’ll be giving you Love Ratings! Which are pretty much just match-ups, except you tell me who you want. But because I like writing rules, you can continue reading for more info. 

How to Request

♡ First, tell me who you want! Whatever character is okay, so long as it’s one of the fandoms listed. I’ve been thinking of adding more to this blog, though, so if you want you can shoot me an ask first, and I’ll add it if I’ve watched/read/played it before. Then you can request from that fandom. 

♡ Next, tell me about yourself! The more information the merrier, although physical attributes don’t matter too much. It’s cool if you have blonde hair and blue eyes, but it’s not really necessary to know that in this case. 

♡ Feel free to add what you like about the character, too. It makes it easier to write.

♡ Don’t worry about how many asks you have to submit to give me all the information you want. Keep in mind that tumblr is stupid, though. I might have trouble receiving everything. 

♡ An example of a request would be like below:

Hi! Can I request a Love Rating with Raihan? I like to tell jokes and my friends say I’m super funny. Sometimes I can overthink a lot, but no matter how hard I am on myself I do my best to make others feel happy. I like Raihan because he’s super tall (and I’m super short) and he tries his best to keep his confidence up despite any setbacks.

♡ Since this is a Love Rating and not a match-up, I’ll be giving you headcanons on how you are with your chosen character! Continuing on with the example above, it’d be something like:

Raihan likes all of your jokes! He’s able to act like a goofball around you, and they do say laughter is the best medicine. 

Likes to lean over you when you’re both standing because he’s somehow almost seven feet tall and he likes to act a little mischievous sometimes. 

♡ And then the headcanons end on a love rating, just for fun and to make the title for this event relevant. These might not make any sense to you, but that’s okay. For example:

Your love rating is: HOMEY. LIKE A WARM HOME-COOKED MEAL THAT WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR FAVORITE.

⭐️ Do they believe that soulmates exist?

❅   No! :D He believes that if two people come together and work things out and are determined to love each other until their dying breaths, then they can do so. It takes dedication, but manmade soulmates are what he believes in. When it comes to his s/o he puts in as much work as you do so you remain on the same page.

❌ Are they scared of being in love?

❅   He’s not exactly scared of love, but he worries a lot that maybe it’s not for him sometimes. He doesn’t exactly work on the same wavelength that others do, but he tries to remember that not everyone is the same. He’ll work with the little quirks that he has and he hopes that his s/o won’t one day become too frustrated with him.

❅   He was also never really ever scared of love before entering a relationship, either. Like I mentioned before in other posts, it was just never on his mind so there was no reason to be scared of it.

💚 What’s their type?

❅   He likes people who don’t take themselves too seriously. He’s impressed and amazed by people who are successful and confident (unless you’re Rohan), but if you don’t mind some friendly banter or light roasting between friends, then you’ve earned some points in his book. Having a good sense of humor is another plus. He likes to laugh and have a good time, so if you add to that, then he’s smitten.

❅   He’s also pleasantly surprised if you got a hidden mischievous side like he does. It might not be a hidden side for his victims, but he’s always down to have another partner in crime.

❅   Speaking of partner in crime - he’s the type to fall hard and fast for someone he was friends with first. Get on his good side platonically and from that point on it’s like a cheesy romcom.  

❣️ What makes them blush/gets their heart pounding?

❅   He’s a sucker for romance, but no matter how much experience he gains he can’t help the blush that creeps up his neck and onto his face. No matter how hard he tries, he’s always going to be super easy to fluster. It’s an endearing trait.

❅   Whenever it comes to special dates like a surprise night out in the city, he gets super nervous about all the details going right. Really, whenever he tries to take the lead in the relationship, he gets blushy and nervous. If his s/o takes charge instead, he’s still blushy but he’s notably less fidgety and more busy with being lovestruck.

🥳 How do they cheer their s/o up when they’re down?

❅   He sits quietly with you first, cheering you up by being around you. The more you come out of your shell, the more he starts trying to talk to you and eventually he’s cracking jokes and distracting you from what got you down in the first place. Sure, it doesn’t help solve the problem by ignoring it, but when you go back to it you’ll at least have a clearer mind.

❅   He hates seeing you upset too, so if that way doesn’t work, he’ll quietly sit with you and think of different ways to get you feeling better again.

❅   He loves nicknames and it’s embarrassing. He likes nicknames that make you blush, he likes nicknames that let you know you feel loved, he likes nicknames that make you laugh, etc. He in turn, also likes the nicknames you give him. He might get a little defensive if you call him something cutesy in front of Okuyasu or Koichi, but deep down he doesn’t mind.
