Sunset Nest Vetting Process
Let's talk about what's going on behind the scenes in our Connection Center.
We have a lot of spirits to keep track of, so we use Google Sheets to make all the basic information clean and easy to read. The spreadsheet contains the spirit’s real names, nicknames, age, etc.
So the first thing we do is that we meet each spirit individually and confirm their identity.
To achieve that, as well as everything else in our vetting process, we use what we call "blind double check".
One person will interview the spirit first, ask all the questions we have written down, and keep a private record of all the answers. Then, the spirit will be sent to another member of the Mod Team who will ask the same questions. Then we compare the answers we got.
We're not looking for word-to-word same answers everywhere. But the answers have to be consistent and at least vaguely similar.
If we find too many discrepancies, the spirit will no longer continue the vetting process. If the initial information is the same, then we will interview the spirit to learn more about their life and species. This information goes through the same process as the initial information, where one member of the mod team double checks the information.
Afterwards, we start to do activities, meet with other members of the species, things like that. For example, if someone talks to us about a sibling or a mate, we'll try to meet them and to interview them too. At least one of these activities takes place in the astral.
If, at any point, one of the mod team interacting with the spirit starts to feel the energy turn bad, to have an uneasy feeling when the spirit is present or just after they have left, we speak with each other about what to do.
Often, it ends with us banishing the spirit and removing them from our vetting process.
We want the connection between spirits and humans to be as positive as possible and we do our best to make it a reality.
