I just finished reading Yona of the Dawn, and I am so so full of feelings. This was a near-perfect series for me- it’s whimsical, gut-wrenching, romantic, funny, and everythi from the personal to the political conflicts are just so well written.

I jokingly told my friend that Su-won may have been the start of my love for blonde characters, but really, he’s a wonderful ‘antagonist’.

Enough of my yapping, here’s a doodle I did yesterday 😌🫶😭

Norval was orphaned as a mere babe. He was fortunate enough to be given a place at an orphanage, but money remained tight.

Thus, at age 5, Norval started working as a fusée chain maker. Through this business, he ended up crossing paths with the watchmaker Paulo Zahin & his brother Salmon. They'd visit monthly for stock, sometimes specific requests, and each time they would take the time to exchange a few words with the young boy.

One day, just before setting off, Paulo turned towards Norval.

"Have you ever considered learning how to make watches?" He asked.

"I already know how watches are made." The boy answered. He'd studied a book on watch mechanics.

The watchmaker smiled at that, and left.

Almost almost done but now I'm stuck trying to choose between four nearly identical gradient maps and it's making me want to cry lmao HELP.
