King strolled briskly down the street, in a particular rush to get away from his office building, lest he burn it to ashes. He was being rather impatient today, and all he would have liked to do was kill something. Anything. Heâd give any and all things to strangle the life out of a living creature, just to watch the light fade out of itâs eyes and watch it heave its dying breath. Oh, how beautiful it was.Â
The demon kept his hands buried deep into his pockets as he balled his fingers into fists, keeping the anger contained until he could reach a safe distance away where he would be able to use his magical abilities and take out his anger upon several trees or maybe even a few animals.Â
His gaze remained fixed upon the path before him, and nothing else. He refused to lower his glamour shield, one that hid the colors of his eyes which truly glittered red, though he disguised them to remain a soft hazel brown. He took long strides as to reach his destination as quickly as possible before he blew the whole city to bits, but suddenly, he felt his shoulder collide with anotherâs. He was immediately thrown into a sort of shock as the simple touch gave him insight upon the otherâs past.Â
A hunter. A hunter. How long had it been since heâd seen those? Heâd thought they went extinct. He saw everything, the secret organization and the way the man dutifully carried on his mission to seek justice.Â
"Watch where youâre going." he muttered, immediately masking any trace of energy or demonic aura that might have leaked through his low defensesâno human could really tell the minute difference, anyways, if a little bit of aura leaked through.Â
Maybe he could fool this oneâŚthe other seemed nice enough, apologizing and such. Maybe they would be acquaintances, and the demon would spring the trapâthud would be the sound that the hunterâs head would make as it dropped to the floor. Maybe they would be acquaintances forever, forever on their guard with each other, forever secretly trying to murder one another.Â
King suddenly grinned, showing pearly whitesâoh, whatever the outcome, it would be fun.
Corvus wasnât having one of his greatest days. Actually he would never have a good one, but today was especially worse than others.
For a few days he had to deal with a creepy and gross creature until he finally had the change to kill it. He would even fake to be a mere human and let himself be kidnapped by that thing only for achieving his purpose. What he didnât expect, was that he would need to stay that long in the underground, incarcerated in a small cage with two more people.
After this last hunt, Corvus thought he would be able to sleep and rest for a while. At least treat his wounds. But luck wasn't a word that described him.
Just a few minutes from getting out of the underground, he heard two policemen talking about another strange murder in the nearby. Only by the corpse injuries description, Corvus mind could think about a few possible creatures. For being sure what he would hunt next he needed to do some research first.
Not thinking it twice he rushed through the streets to the murder scene, trying at the same time to not get much attention. Unfortunately his injuries made him be careless for a moment and he bumped his shoulder against someoneâs.
The mere contact with the stranger made a chill run through his body and warned Corvus about some kind of danger. But when he turned around and stared at the man, he couldnât feel that dangerous aura anymore. Maybe his injuries made his senses go crazy and couldnât tell apart a human from a creature.
Pressing his injury he bowed slightly his head and looked at the man with a frown âSorry, my bad. But try to say things nicer next timeâ. And he slowly walked away.
