When you’re taking oxy for pain as opposed to recreation, you don’t get high. Maybe once out of twenty times so you feel any under-the-influence effects. When you take it for pain, its only effect is cutting pain. And even then it doesn’t take away all the pain. The overwhelming amount of people who use it recreationally resulted in it being a very controlled substance so people who need it for pain can’t get it easily. When I’m shaking in pain because a doctor is not allowed to fill my prescription over the phone and I’m out of any pills I’m not going to want to bond with your high ass. Fuck off and get your kicks some other way.

Replying to the OP: you are an uneducated asshole. My addiction started by being (overprescribed) pain pills, for legitimate pain. Now I deal with broken bones, fibromyalgia, and Tourette tic that leave my body in so much pain I can barely move. However, once you get help, you're in a hospital system as an addict and doctors won't prescribe narcotics, the only effective form of pain control for anyone who has taken narcotics for an extended period of time. Nothing is more frustrating than a doctor telling you he isn't comfortable treating your broken leg and three broken ribs because you had a problem in the past. You are no longer treated as a human. You are no longer treated with any respect or decency. So congrats on being in pain and being able to control it. Some of us are in stabbing pain constantly and doctors do nothing. So fuck off, you superior shit.
