                bare feet are light as they bound through the well-managed garden, the broad stretch of his full lips is enough light to draw out the wild roses and encourage them to bloom. his laughter is music, untraditional and echoing. a classical tone took upon itself to start a new life and breathe energy into the foliage around him, all while vibrant and radiant crimson eyes follow the golden mane of curls that float and vanish from sight every so often. it’s the hunt of course that stirs such energy, a game of cat and mouse but without a mouse to chase cats are left to find better games. 

                raven locks float against his back, brushing against the overgrown roses that reach out to him. onyx lashes flutter against bronze cheeks as he waits carefully, watching for the lion hidden among the greenery. his voice is soft and playful, an outstretched hand to his friend as he poises himself carefully. foot placed precisely as he stalks foreward, the smirk on his maw revealing glimmering ivory teeth that catch the sunlight. “ come now corin. “ he remarks voice growing for a mere second before dropping to a hushed whisper, “ shall i anticipate such a pounce from a lioness or will you face me? “

      it’s a  futile  game to play against demetri,    yet it’s one she adores all the same.    the garden is a safe haven from endless duties,    a list most often written in  blood  and death,    and it remains one of the only places that corin can let her hair down                   shed the brutality she wears and allow an ancient wildness to breathe again.    though she’ll also admit that  demetri  himself has much to do with her shedding this stifling skin.    even though she runs,    feet hardly even a whisper in the grass,    his company is one of her greatest refuges.
