You're Gonna Hear Me Roar.

“No offense taken. Honestly they were throwing orders at me left and right, I doubt they even know how many orders I actually had to write down in total. It feels like it, mostly interns and other fashion journalist. They all need their coffee or nothing gets done it seems.” Lucy laughed, then taking a sigh of relief when she noticed half her order was almost done. “Hey couponing is a great thing, too bad I’m bad at remembering I have them. They’re usually expired before I can eve use them.”

“They better give you one hell of a raise for doing the good lord’s work,” Sulley called out with a whistle. “The least I could do for you is hold the door so you can make it to your next destination,” He pointed out. “Awww maaaan, you gotta invest in those phone coupons. They’ll remind you when you walk in a certain place. All you gotta do from there is whip out your phone and trust me, it’s smooth sailing from there.” 

“Maybe if we bribe one of my sisters with a home cooked meal once a week, they’ll help me with laundry,” she laughed. Despite how tired she was, Arista loved their life. She she had learned quickly that it was okay to ask for help. “We can’t give them too much grief. It took us how long of crushing on each other before we ever even tried dating?” She had had a crush on him since high school and it wasn’t until college that things had started for them. Arista grinned as his lips pressed against her forehead. “I still can’t believe it’s been three years. Feels like just yesterday.”

“So...Attina?” Sulley teased with a laugh. “I’d say Arielle but she turned my socks pink on purpose for April Fool’s Day and I’m still kinda salty about that, she’s sneaky, you know,” He chuckled at the memory and shook his head. “Okay, but that was four years, two months and a day,” He calculated and then continued, “Trixie and Mike have known each other for how long now and haven’t acted on it? Alex being a 16 year old flower girl would be kinda awkward, you know what I mean?” He shook his head with a sigh. “That damn homecoming from hell where I came back with Taco Bell nachos disheveled and you still decided to talk to me...I swore that was a miracle that night.” 

“Really?” Lucy’s face lit up with a smile. “If it’s not trouble, I’d appreciate the help! I was kind of avoiding figuring out how I was going to get it all back to my office. I guarntee I’d spill most if not all of it.” Lucy chuckled, her eyebrows raising in interest of this mysterious coupon. “Is it a good coupon at least?”

“Yeah, of course, I mean—no offense, but, my arms would give out carrying all of that by myself,” Sulley pointed out with a slight shake of his head. “Did you order for a whole team? I hope they give you compensation because I’d be moaning and groaning about carrying everyone’s drinks like that,” He chuckled. “Well, let’s see...” Sulley fished out his coupon and nodded. “Yup. Half off for this cup of joe. My wife’s best friend is all about collecting coupons from here.” 

“Well, that’s more productivity than I’ve had,” she grinned. If she could sleep all day she would, but there was Alex to look after and then of course teaching and taking care of the house. She was a busy woman and soon she’d be even busier. “At the very least, it’ll give them another excuse to hang out.” Willingly, the blonde snuggled into him as his arms wrapped around her. “I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing you call me that.”

“The motivation was having one clean pair of socks left,” Sulley laughed, shaking his head. This is exactly what life was like for Sulley. It was running around, getting things done around, raising Alex, and work. Sure, it was tiring, but he wouldn’t change it for anything else in the world. “Exactly, especially because they’re always making some sort of excuse if I even insinuate they should go out and dress up for the evening,” He sighed, pressing his lips to the blonde’s forehead. “Really? Even after nearly 3 years? That’s pretty crazy.”

Coffee was what would motivate her, or at least she hoped it would.​ However going on a coffee run meant everyone at the office wanted one too. With a large order she knew the customers in line wouldn’t be too happy. Turning to look behind her she offered a sorrowful expression. “I’m so sorry for the wait! I can pay for you order in exchange for the time you had to wait.”

Sulley needed himself a pick me up for the afternoon before heading back to work. His eyebrow rose at what the hold up was, but once realizing it was a rather large order, he shook his head at the sight of it. He felt for the woman in front of him. “Oh, hey, don’t worry about it. You sure you don’t need help carrying all of that though?” He asked curiously. “Nahhh, it’s okay, I gotta use up my coupon for today otherwise, I’ll never forgive myself and I’ll get shit from it at work.” 

“To be fair, I think I’m also just almost out of clean socks. I’m really behind on laundry.” The blonde looked over at her husband, leaning back to lay beside him. “I can’t see either of them complaining about babysitting together. It’ll give them good practice for when they realize they’re actually in love with each other,” she giggled. “Wow, a few nights away, huh? Careful, Mr. Sullivan, or I’ll get very spoiled.” 

“Right...laundry,” Sulley came to the sudden realization that he had left some of the clean clothes in the dryer. “Some of our clothes are in the dryer—so there’s that,” He admitted with a sheepish smile. “Exactly, they can’t get out of it and Alex plays one hell of a matchmaker for a two year old,” He let out a hearty laugh and sighed. “It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t spoil and dote on my wife, now would it, Mrs. Sullivan?” He smirked, wrapping his arms around her. 

“What? Yes they are–oh.” Her eyebrows furrowed together as she glanced down. Sitting on the edge of the bed, Arista peeled off the mismatched socks and began the hunt for a matching pair. “Maybe my sisters or Trixie…as much as I love Mike, he sent Alex back with her diaper on backwards,” she said with a laugh. “But ocean waves and just you and me sounds like heaven right now.”

“My point exactly, you’ve been exhausted,” Sulley chuckled as he flopped down onto the bed after a long day. “I’ll do you one better: what if we have both Mike and Trixie babysit—we’ll just make sure Trixie’s on diaper duty,” He commented with a laugh as he stretched for a moment. “I know a beautiful spot in San Diego we could go to for a few nights? Whattya say?”
