Raven update: All three raven chicks are out of the nest. Their parents are still providing food, but now it is offered as a reward for short flights away from their home tree. Soon they will disperse altogether. The neighborhood will be a lot quieter once their flight training is done.

Chihuahuan ravens raise a single brood each year, but it's possible they will reuse the nest next year. It is valuable real estate. Great horned owls (who don't make their own nests) sometimes squat in empty raven nests, and they have nested in these same pine trees in past years. It will be interesting to see who moves in next.
