â well , you live with one half of the dork patrol , so i can understand that youâre not used to people turning up on time . kier is either always over or three hours late , and i donât know which oneâs worse . they share the same consciousness , right , him and casey , so iâm sure heâs exactly the same , â following sugar into the kitchen leda leaned against one of the counters , hands propping her up , dark eyes trained on the meal as it bubbled and warmed upon the stove . sugar was right â it looked and smelled amazing , so she could barely wait to taste the stuff . â yeah , i could do with a drink â itâs nice not to have to make it for somebody else , yâknow ?? it gets exhausting to the point where even making a cup of coffee in the evening seems beyond me . the iced tea sounds amazing , â as off-brand as it seemed leda would enjoy a water or cartoned juice in the evenings rather than creating a cocktail from scratch . her and chandler , by the end of their shift , could barely stand the shaking of a mixer , the sound alone provoking teeth to grind in the back of their mouths .
âCaseyâs a bit forgetful and definitely a bit more on the âtends to be lateâ side, but I wouldnât be living with him if I didnât adore him. I made a promise to myself that when I moved into my own apartment, my roommate would be someone I actually enjoyed being around, not just someone who paid half of the rent,â Sugar laughed lightly, giving a small shake of their head as they did. âDork patrol seems about right to describe the both of them, but really... I think if Casey was any other way, Iâd have gotten frustrated with him leaving behind messes and always losing stuff.â They were certainly the organized half of the pair, that was for sure, and when theyâd first moved in together, they were certain that theyâd probably end up on some 90 Minute episode about a killer roommate from it all - but thankfully, heâd grown on them, so it was no longer a concern. And at times, they even liked when he had to ask them with help finding something heâd lost. âYeah, I canât even begin to imagine - even just working at the costume shop, sometimes by the end of the day, I canât be bothered with helping any of my friends with picking out outfits or anything. Luckily Iâm passionate about it, but could you imagine if I wasnât? Iâd probably live in sweats just so I never had to think of an outfit again outside of my job.â Giving the shrimp a stir in the sauce itâd come in, Sugar made a hum in the back of their throat before they reached up and retrieved two glasses from the cabinet and set them down, turning towards the fridge to grab the pitcher of iced tea and pour them both a glass.
