“you alright baby?” renjun asks you kissing the top of your head lightly.

“no,” you mumble in reply feeling the tears sting your eyes more than before.

when renjun hears hears your quivering voice he turns you around and pulls you flush against his body. he wraps one of his arms around your waist and the other goes upwards so that his hand can stroke the back of your head softly while your face is buried in his neck.

imagine going into your room after rough days and sitting near the window to stare at your favorite star. the same star that’s there after every day to greet you. then waking up the next morning to hear there was a meteor shower last night while you slept, you shrug & collect yourself for school. you try to run to the bus, but then you bump into a boy, you try to apologize and his gaze meets yours and he smiles softly.

“there you are” he says.

you tilt your head in bewilderment.

“who are you?” you ask.

“i’m Hyunjin, from.. up there.” he says, pointing at the sky & rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

you wonder who this crazy guy could be, but his eyes meet yours and you see it. your favorite star shines in his eyes, his gaze could hold galaxies.

“i wanted to meet you.” he says with a smile. you stand still, observing the boy before you.

“so.. Hyunjin..” you start, but get interrupted as he engulfs you in a hug, a hug so tight you lose your breath.

“sorry.” he giggles. “i went through a lot of hell to fall from the sky & give you this hug. you don’t always have to be so alone, ya know?” he said in a whisper as he held you tighter.

you let yourself relax in his embrace and returned the hug. that’s how you met your favorite star, the star who made lonely nights not so lonely.
