tae stood in the kitchen with an annoyed look as you sat with jungkook on the couch with his head in your lap. “baby lets go to the room im tired” you told jungkook. tae felt his heart drop, he hated that you called him the name you use to call him. he knows he shouldn’t be mad cause when jungkook asked for permission to ask you out tae said it was okay, plus tae and you dated in highschool (all 4 years of highschool) but you guys had both grown up since then. “goodnight” you said to tae with a small smile before walking to the room with jungkook. tae didnt have time to say it back before the door shut. he stood there thinking about how it use to feel to fall asleep and wake up next to you, he remembers the feeling of joy he’d feel when youd lay your head on his chest. he knew you were happy with jungkook, he knew that you guys meant the world to eachother but is it selfish that he hated how happy the 2 of you were? tae didnt let himself think about it to much before he started walking to his room. he closed the door quietly before removing the coat he had been wearing all day to put on more comfortable clothes, but before he did so he stared at himself in the full length mirror in the corner of his room, he stared at his outfit and noticed how he still dresses the way you suggested. he was always so scared to be himself in highschool, he would always wear the basic clothing that was in at the time. one night he had told you of his love for fashion and clothing and the next morning you took him shopping with your dads credit card and got him all the clothes that made him feel more like himself. he smiled at the memory and remembered you running around the store throwing super expensive coats and berets in his arms. like before he brushed off the thought of you before changing and climbing into bed. sometimes he wishes he wouldve told jungkook that it wasnt okay that he still loved you but at the time he really didnt still have feelings for you, but as soon as you started hanging around more he remembered all the reasons why he was so in love with you in the first place. taes thoughts were disrupted by the quiet moans that he heard through the walls. he let anger take over his body as he heard you moan jungkooks name loud enough for him to hear it. he pulled out his airpods and shoved them in his ears, pressing play on the first song that showed up on his phone. “maybe one day ill tell her im sorry and that i miss her” he thought to himself, knowing he could never do that to jungkook. he closed his eyes and let himself fall into a deep sleep hoping you wouldn’t show up in his dreams.

You laid on a small patch of grass in the front yard of nct’s frat house. You hated parties but your bestfriend Yuta insisted you’d come to this one (even though he left you alone the second you walked in the door.) After being inside the house that was filled with the smell of weed and alcohol for to long you decided that laying here was your best bet. “Why are you out here?” Someone asked causing you to sit up quicker than you should’ve. He let out a laugh before speaking again. “Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you! You are Yuta’s friend yeah?” You nodded as you pulled a leaf out of you hair, regretting ever laying down In the grass. “I’m Jaehyun” he said, putting a cigarette in his mouth. “I know Yuta talks about you a lot” you finally spoke. He smiled and walked over to you. He sat down beside you and lit his cigarette. You looked over at him and noticed how beautiful he looked in the dim lighting. Either you were second hand high or you really had never noticed how beautiful Jaehyun is. “Anyway why are you out here?” You shrugged at his question. “Too loud in there I guess…i don’t know? Parties aren’t my thing Yuta dragged me here and just kinda left” You said with a hint of annoyance. “Well if you ever need someone to hang out with I’m here, maybe we can hang out sometimes you know?” He suggested. Yuta always spoke so highly of Jaehyun, he was a top student, he wasn’t like the rest of the guys who’d sleep around, but most of all Yuta explained how he didn’t even pay attention to girls so what was he doing asking you to hang out? “Sure” you replied with a smile. “Well how about now?” He said standing up and putting out his hand to help you get up. You took his hand and laughed “what are we suppose to do right now it’s almost 3 in the morning” “We will figure it out y/n” he said giving you another smile before grabbing your wrist to lead you inside the house. (The Next Day) “You did what?!” Yuta asked a little to loudly as you guys sat at a small cafe. You instantly put your hand over his mouth. “Shut Up” you whisper yelled. The living room was filled with people and you sat on a couch with Jaehyun. “Are you cold?” He asked but before you could answer he pulled the blanket over the two of you. “Thanks” you spoke shyly and he nodded with a smile. Yuta smiled at the two of you as he sat with Taeyong and Mark on the floor. The lights turned off and the movie started, you felt Jaehyun rest his head on your shoulder and his hand on your thigh. “Is this okay?” He spoked quietly and all you could do was nod trying to hide the fact that you were nervous. You had talked to him for the past two nights and it was obvious that you had a crush on him by now. You don’t know how it happened but somewhere in between him eating you out like there was no tomorrow and hearing him talk to you on the phone about the things he loved, made you like him. Your train of thought was stopped by him moving his head from your shoulder and moving his hand closer to where you needed him most. (1 week later) Maybe not all prayers get answered cause for some reason after that day you felt yourself distancing yourself from Jaehyun. You stopped calling him, you stopped texting back as much and you tried to avoid being around him. Cause for some reason telling him you liked him made you feel like he would use it to his advantage even though deep inside you knew that wasn’t true. “Call him” Yuta said as if he read your thoughts. You stood quiet as you sat down on the chair in yutas room. “Fine don’t answer but don’t you think it’s childish to avoid him like this? I mean you’re only here right now cause he’s not. Y/N he likes you so much why don’t you get that” You still didn’t talk instead you stood up. “I’m going to the bathroom” you said walking out of the room. You thought about how much you liked Jaehyun and you asked yourself why you were doing this. You brushed the thoughts aside as you opened the bathroom door but to your surprise you were met with Jaehyun brushing his teeth. He looked at you with hopeful eyes but all you could do was try to shut the door. “Please talk to me” he said grabbing the door to stop it from closing. “Nothing to talk about” you said trying to shut it again. “Bullshit y/n!” He never raised his voice. “Why are you acting like this? Why are you acting like I don’t exist.” He sounded hurt and you hated it but you couldn’t let your guard down. “Because…I don’t want you to hurt me okay? I don’t want you to leave. I’m scared cause I like you.” He looked at you speak words that broke his heart. “Y/n I wouldn’t do that to yo-“ “don’t say that okay? You can’t promise those things” was all you said. “I can’t do this anymore Jaehyun I’m sorry” you wiped the tears falling from your eyes before running out the door. (3 days later) Your room was dark as you laid on the bed with the same frank ocean album you’ve had on repeat for days now. You felt tired and heartbroken. You wish liking Jaehyun wasn’t so hard for you, but maybe it was deeper than that, maybe you loved him. You jumped at the sound of someone knocking on the door. You mumbled a come in before Yuta walked in with a disappointed look. “Get up” he said pulling the cover off of you. “Come on you’re going to a party” you didn’t reply you just brought the blanket back to your face. “Go away” he was quick to pull the blanket off again. “You have 10 minutes hurry up” you weren’t in the mood to argue anymore so you groaned and got up. You got ready, not bothering to impress anyone. You put on a hoodie and some shorts before walking out the door with yuta. “No make up?” He asked and you felt self conscious. “Do I look that bad” you asked weakly, he put his arm over your shoulder and shook his head. “No you’re beautiful as always” you gave him a small smile and continued to walk to the house. (Later That night) It had been 2 hours since the party started and surprisingly no sign of Jaehyun. Not that you cared or anything but still. You grabbed another beer before walking outside to the front yard. Even though this party wasn’t as lame as the other ones you still wanted time alone. You walked to your spot on the grass and laid back, you looked at the stars and thought about how they weren’t as bright as the twinkle in Jaehyuns eyes when he smiled. You felt tears form in your eyes at the thought of him, you let a good thing go and now you had to live with it. “Why are you out here” you heard a familiar voice say. You sat up wiping your eyes. This time around Jaehyun didn’t hesitate to sit next to you. “Hey” you mumbled as he sat down. “Hi” he replied. It was quiet cause both of you were to scared to speak. “I’m sorry” you finally said. “I know” you looked at him and rolled your eyes as he let out a slight chuckle. “Listen okay, I’m not gonna hurt you. I’m not gonna leave because y/n I love you. I know it’s hard to believe, but I’ve loved you since Yuta brought you here the first time and it took all the courage for me to talk to you that night. I just-“ he stopped himself and looked you in your eyes. “I just love you” and this time you felt your heart beat and flowers bloom in your stomach. He looked at you concerned noticing the tears on your face. He was quick to pull you closer and wipe your eyes. “I love you too” you said looking at him, trying to sound as sincere as possible cause you meant it with your whole soul. He smiled and kissed you “now don’t leave me again! I was so sad I cried to yuta every night” you laughed at his words as he stood up. “So wanna hang out” he asked letting his hand out to you. “You are so corny” you laughed before taking his hand. “But yes, what are we suppose to do right now?” You played along and he smirked. “I can eat you out in my room” you hit his arm playfully. He laughed and pulled you into his arms. “I love you y/n” you smiled into his chest. “I love you Jaehyun” you replied, now knowing that if you had Jaehyun you’d never be hurt or alone.

Every moment he spent with you was heaven. You sat next to him on the twin size mattress in his room that he shared with his roommate jungkook. You had your back rested on the headboard and tae had his head rested on your lap. Jungkook had invited some of his friends to his dorm so the small room was filled with the smell of weed and soft music that was barely audible over the rest of the boys talking. “Y/N” Tae mumbled as he shifted his head so he was looking up at you. You gave a hum in response before looking down at him. “I love you” he spoke softly and you couldn’t help but smile at the small gesture. “I love you” you said leaning down leaving a gentle kiss on his forehead. “Let’s get out of here” jungkook said standing to his feet causing the rest of the boys to follow. “Are you guys coming?” He asked looking over at you and tae before tae shook his head. Jungkook shrugged in response before heading out the door with everyone else. Tae lifted up his head and stood up to plug in the colorful Christmas lights that he had hung up lazily around the room and turned off the brighter one, he then walked back over to the bed and comfortably got under the blankets causing you to do the same. You guys laid face to face and he wrapped an arm around your waist, the silence was comfortable and the music that played was now heard clearly. “Do you think we are gonna be together forever” he suddenly asked, looking into your eyes and moving a strand of hair from your face. “I hope so” you mumbled. “Me too” he said back. “I didn’t expect to come to college and find a love I’d hope would last a life time but once I saw you walk into class that one day I knew I might’ve found the one and now I’m sure of it” he confessed. jungkook stood in front of the gate at the public pool staring at it for a little to long before deciding to jump over it, it was the middle of winter and almost 2 in the morning, obviously to cold to swim but sometimes he went there to think. Once he was over the gate he walked over to one of the tables that were set up and sat down, the thought of someone coming to kick him out were completely pushed aside cause he knew no one was ever around during this time of year. He stared at the pool that was lit up and smiled to himself thinking about the time he had brought you here to swim in the middle of the night, that was the first time you guys had gone further than kissing, he remembers every sound that left your mouth and the small “I love you” you mumbled once you two had finished, he didn’t say it back that night due to the guards coming to kick you out. You guys had ran all the way to your house the same night, he remembered all the small decorations you had hanging up on the walls, how every inch of the room smelled just like the perfume you always wore. that night you stood up all night telling him secrets that you had never told anyone, at one point you allowed yourself to cry in front of him, he wrapped his arm around your waist and kissed the top of your head reminding you that it’s okay before saying “I love you” and you believed him cause he said it like he had never told anyone those 3 words before. Jungkook hated coming to the pool cause he knew he would think about you but some nights thats what he needed. He tried to never think about the night you decided to leave, but sometimes when he does he thinks about the look on your face as you let tears stream down your cheeks. He remembers you looking him straight in the eye and saying “I can’t do this anymore, I love you but I’m so tired of this” he wanted to fight back he wanted to beg you to stay but he didn’t have time cause before he knew it you were gone. It wasn’t his fault and it wasn’t yours, at some point things got really bad between the two of you, a day wouldn’t pass by without the two of you yelling at eachother or fighting over something that could easily be fixed. That was almost 4 months ago and he still found himself thinking about you everyday. His thoughts were stoped by the sound of someone else jumping over the gate. “Great” he said to himself before rolling his eyes assuming it was a group of kids his age. He got up deciding it was time for him to leave but when he turned around he saw you standing there looking as shocked as he felt. For a second he thought it was his mind playing tricks on him but when you opened your mouth to speak he knew it was real. “Hi” you said quietly “You still come here too?” You continued causing him to nod. “how are you?” You asked “I’ve been better” he replied honestly. “Me too” he wanted to wrap his arms around you and apologize but he didn’t have time cause before he knew it you had your arms wrapped around him. “I’m sorry Jungkook” you sounded so hurt, so vulnerable. “It’s okay” he said wrapping his arms around your waist. “I miss you” he noticed that you were crying but didn’t know what to do, this all felt new to him again. “I missed you so much more y/n” he left a kiss on the top of your head. “wake up” you said causing Jungkook to look confused. “What?” He asked you. “get up we have to go” he heard jimin say causing his eyes to open. “Let’s go hurry up” jimin said before walking out of the room. Jungkook groaned before turning to his side and feeling sad cause you weren’t there. “it was just a dream” he whispered to himself letting his eyes water a little bit. Maybe it’s for the best he thought to himself before getting up and starting his day, knowing that all he’ll have of you is the bitter sweet memories that will soon fade away.
