- sue snell had always been her parents little blessing. a perfect addition to their new family & quickly the focus of their lives. she was well liked by the other kids at school, quick at making friends, which was telling of what her popularity would grow to be. 

- the first time a boy kisses her, sue gets butterflies in her stomach. it happened during a family vacation to the beach, his name was danny, or tony, or something like that. she never saw him again, but the memory never fails to bring a smile to her lips. then comes tommy ross. he’s her first proper boyfriend. after crushing on him all throughout middle school, he’d asked her out in the beginning of their junior year.

- bullying is a nasty thing, it isn’t like sue to take part. but, there’s something about peer pressure, about seeing her friends do it, & sue joins the crowd. it isn’t until it’s said & done, with a disappointed statement from miss desjardin, that the regret sinks in.

- when miss collins gets ahold of them, she forces the girls into doing hard exercise, & sue thinks its a fair punishment. but, she wants to do more to make it up to carrie. after some convincing, she gets tommy to agree to take her to the prom instead.

- her period was late. it’d happened before, stress could do that to you. but, something feels off & she decides to take a test.  the entire time begging for that little plus sign to not show up. but, it does. she’s terrified. doesn’t know how she’ll tell tom. should she ? prom is soon, maybe she’ll tell him after.

- then she’s sneaking over, smiles on display as she sees how happy carrie looks. but, she notices something -- something wrong. ropes, a bucket, no. the poor girl didn’t do anything wrong, why do they want to humiliate her so badly ? she’s banging on the doors, SCREAMING, begging to be let in. why won’t anyone listen to her ? not even miss desjardin will listen. thinks she’s trying to ruin carrie’s moment. it’s too late. the bucket drops, spilling the blood onto carrie & then CRACKING open her boyfriend’s skull. everything spins into chaos, TERRIFYING sue & sending her fleeing. 

- after the black prom, everything changed. with her suspected connection, stemming from her appearance to warn carrie, she was expelled from the school. from that point on, she’d stayed behind closed doors. the whole town did, honestly -- with more people leaving by the day. & sue couldn’t have been more thankful for her mother, who stood by her daughter, helped her with homeschool to finish her education. with her there, sue was able to get her g.e.d. before the baby was born. 

- when isabelle comes into the world, everything changes. sue doesn’t want her daughter to be raised in a town that carries so much PAIN, which her parents wholeheartedly support. they’ve set her up in an apartment in castle rock, paying the rent, close enough for them to drop everything & come with one phone call. just recently, sue was hired onto the staff at the local elementary school. sue’s excited to make a living of her own, provide more for her daughter, but the past still haunts her. every so often, she’ll wake up in a cold sweat -- the image of carrie, covered in all that blood forever imprinted.
