╰☆╮muse 15 — wait, is that kelsey dacosta? is it just me or does the twenty one year-old look exactly like christina nadin? last i heard, they still weren’t over being exposed by the sentinel. according to the app, they can be manipulative & belittling, but i’ve also heard they’re loyal & cunning. can’t be too sure, people have a way of surprising you. all i know is that they remind me of pearly teeth sunk into pouty lips , looking into every mirror one passes , a drug deal concealed as a coffee run , cotton candy skies , & silk slip dresses . honestly, the communications major should try to keep their head down. after the events of last semester, i wouldn’t want to be in their shoes.

BACKGROUND:

HAPPY  HOME  ;  born  &  raised  in berkeley , her  parents  are  both  uc  berkeley  profs  who  do  research  in  the  biochemistry  department . she  was  destined  for  brains ,  &  could  basically  get  whatever  she  pleased  whenever  she  asked  bc  her  father  was  such  a  pushover  for  her .

RESTLESS  CHILDHOOD  ;  grew  up  excelling  in  school ,  but  was  kept  in  public  school  bc  her  parents  thought  it  made  her  WeLl  RoUnDeD  .  she  quickly  became  bored  &  resulted  in  kelsey  looking  for  entertainment  in  other  forms  ,  namely  playing  pranks  on  her  nannies , teasing  other  children  in  school , &  seeing  how  far  she  could  push  without  repercussions .  all around  was  raised  in  a  healthy  family  ,  but  she  always  CRAVED  something  more  .  this  only  intensified  in  her  teen  years  . . .  

REBELLIOUS  TEEN  ;  once  puberty  hit  ,  miss  thing  here  realized  the  effect  she  had  on  boys  &  got  a  kick  out  of  playing  with  their  feelings  .  still  sliding  by  effortlessly  in  school  ,  kelsey  focused  her  thoughts  elsewhere  -  getting  in  trouble  .  still  ,  managing  to  maintain  a  4.0  &  be  president  of  her  high  school’s  student  association  ,  kelsey’s  parents  were  oblivious  to  the  horrors  her  &  her  friends  got  up  to  (  think  :  the  bling  ring  )  when  she  claimed  to  be  at  group  study  sessions  .  

NEXT  STEPS  ;  didn’t  know  what  she  wanted  to  do  university - wise  but  KNEW  she  had  to  get  out  of  california  &  away from  her  parents .  the  thrill  of  teenage  rebellion  wasn’t  enough  for  her  anymore  .  she  def  had  it  good , but  went  through  that  typical  privileged  girl  phase  of  wanting  to  be  as  far  from  her  parents  as  possible .  decided  on  steinhardt  bc  the  communications  program  seemed  enticing ,  along  with  the  prospects  of  getting  to  live  in  new  york .  to  this  day  she  hasn’t  gotten  in  trouble  or  been  held  accountable  for  the  bs  she’s  been  a  part  of  ,  giving  her  an  inflated  ego  &  sense  of  pride  that  can  only  lead  to  disaster  .

TODAY:

her  parents  have  all  but  cut  her  off  from  their  money  ,  her  tuition  being  paid  in  other  means  instead  .  she  doesn’t  talk  to  them  often  ,  but  returns  home  to  sf  for  a  week  at  christmas  mostly  to  catch  up  with  old  friends  &  play  her  obligatory  role  in  the  ‘ happy  family ’  facade  .

has  made  herself  quite  comfy  in  a variety  of  friend  groups  ,  thanks  to  her  ability  to  fit  into  different  crowds  seamlessly  .  the  girl  who  seems  to  not  be  stuck  within  one  friends  group  ,  but  flows  through  all  of  them  somehow  .

is  part  of  the  steinhardt  drug  ring  with  her  friends  ,  supplying  mostly  to  the  upper  echelon  of  the  popular  kids  ,  the  cheerleaders  ,  the  jocks  ,  the  party  animals  ,  etc  .  she  enjoys  the  thrill  of  it  &  doesn’t  see  it  as  anything  wrong  or  dangerous  .  

two - faced  as  all  hell  ;  this  bitch  will  not  hesitate  to  be  kind  &  sweet  to  your  face  then  shit  talk  your  everything  on  the  app  .  she  portrays  a  good  girl  nextdoor  image  when  it  suits  her  ,  &  a  cunning  ,  vindictive  ,  brutally  honest  asshole  when  its  called  for  .  with  her  true  friends  ,  she’s  a  happy  medium  :  not  impeded  by  the  strife  of  poverty  or  addiction  ,  but  seeming  to  always  be  chasing  a  high  in  the  form  of  a  new  fling  or  illegal  action  .
