Hello. i have watered everyone today. should i have done it like 4 days ago? yes. Better late than never tho and succulents are (relatively) okay with that. do the ones with Juicier leaves look a little worn? yes. but now they are watered <3
hehehe im so excited to look back on those pictures at the end of the year to see how big theyve grown hehehehehehe
last but not least, a succulent that i'm not actually too sure what she is lol
i got her mother plant years ago from a event and did not care for the mother plant very well, shes super leggy and has very few leaves, but since ive started actually researching succulent care i popped off one of the offshoots of her stem and started to grow it properly. i think its some type of crassula or sedum? but honestly i have no clue, when shes bigger ill probably be able to figure it out easier but at this small age im not too sure
shes in a 2.5in shallow pot right now!
pups belonging to one of my new sempervivums that were a bit too big to keep with the mother plant! they're Sempervivum globiferum subsp. hirtum ‘Borealis’ specifically
i got these (and all my sempervivums + string of pearls) from a monthly subscription box from mountain crest gardens! (the only reason i know that whole proper scientific name is cause it came with a label lol). i only got the one box because i dont have room for much more but im really happy with the succulents i got from it.
ive only had these guys for about 2 weeks now so i dont have much to note about them, but they are pretty cute
currently in a 2.5in shallow pot!

my mother of thousands! aka Kalanchoe laetivirens
she's not the prettiest because before she was put on my windowsill my mom had her downstairs in a bathroom with no windows, but she handled that situation fine and shes been showing great recovery with new leaves growing in.
all of her babies are from the biggest leaf on the right and i cant wait to see how well she continues to grow
she's currently in a shallow 2.5in pot but as her and her babies grow ill probably move her up
the fellas in my littest pots today were dry all the way through so i watered them, ill post the pictures of them later !!
one thing thats always a fun tell about the climate someone's in is how often they say they water their (indoor) succulents, cause theres a content creator i watch whos says they water them probably once every 2 months but last summer it was so hot i had to water my small succulents in 4 inch pots once a week minimum
i got all my sempervivums a little over 2 weeks ago and watered them for the first time friday, their leaves look so much more open and happy now from when they first arrived it makes me so happy
next time i water my succulents i think ill start collecting pictures to give them like "intro posts" and to have photos of them all to look back on later
i do wanna have more non-succulent houseplants one day, but one thing that i enjoy about succulents so much is when i barely have the energy to get out of bed, i can put off watering them for a bit without worrying about them dying.
its been cold too which im grateful for but i finally watered my succulents yesterday after a couple weeks because of irl issues and the empty leaves havent all completely filled out yet but they still are firming back up and recovering well.
succulents are definitely the best houseplant for a less than stable mental health but i do really hope one day when i have a more consistent schedule and consistent motivation i can have more high-maintenance houseplants but right now im very content with my lil drought-resistant babies
i Do care for some other plants, plants my mom has gotten in bouquets and fresh herbs, but i definitely don't care for them as well as i do the succulents. i do get really happy when i see them put out new leaves and them doing well but i much more enjoy the low maintenance aspect of succulents and drought-resistant plants.
it still makes me very happy to see my succulents grow, slowly but surely for some but a little quicker for others, and its so cool to see something you care for grow. i cant wait to see if any of them flower this summer/fall.

graptosedum growing from a leaf that fell off awhile ago <3
i havent purposefully propagated my succulents but i do leave any leaves that fall off in the soil and its cool to see a baby finally grow from it
