Sad Endless Summer Headcanons
* Jake has nightmares about Mike and Mc (me!!!) after heâs lost them both. (The dreams about Mike are his last words towards him before sacrificing himself to save everyone from Lundgren and the dreams about Mc is when she disappeared after returning to Vannu.)
* Jake had dreamed of him and Mc having a little family together after everything that happened and maybe even reconnecting to his family since he knew his Princess would help him through it. (Yes technically I do headcanon Jake as being with a female Mc because he was my love interest during my play through. So I apologize for that and if anyone would like to imagine any of his headcanons with masculine pronouns or non binary ones or whichever ones you use thatâs fine.)
* Not counting the times when everyone meets up with one another to celebrate the anniversary of their adventure Jake will often head to La Huerta to celebrate Mcâs birthday. It will often consist of him gathering her favorite flowers and visiting every one of their âspotsâ (Everywhere they had ever spent time together) and would leave one of the flowers there.
* Jake hopes/believes that he will see Mc again. Whether it will be because somehow Vannu will bring her back to him or because when he passes his consciousness will somehow reach her among the stars. And though Jake is depressed over her loss he is not suicidal since he knows that both Mike and his princess would want him to live out his life no matter what.
* Sean struggled so hard when Mc disappeared in front of his eyes. He collapsed to the floor crying once they did and wasnât able to get back up until Michelle and Diego had managed to convince him to do so after offering him comfort. And for the first time Sean actually acts on his anger towards Rourke, punching him hard enough to break his jaw. Though he did nothing more besides telling Rourke that that had been for his beloved.
* After getting back home Sean did his best to try and adjust back to his normal life with his mother though he told her all about Mc and their adventures on La Huerta and how they had been the love of his life. He knew it would be hard for his mother to really understand and she even admitted that was the case but also told Sean that Mc sounded like a wonderful person and was sad she wouldnât be able to meet them. She also pointed out to Sean though that as long as he and the others remember Mc then they would never really be gone and would live on in their memories. It was enough to break Sean into tears again and Tricia was more than happy to comfort her poor son.Â
* Sean has a wedding ring that he had gotten not long after returning home which he had engraved to say ~ We may not have forever but we have now ~ along with a little heart that has his and Mcâs initials on it. Michelle had ended up helping him pick out the ring when he told her about his idea. She insisted on it since she wanted to make sure it was something suitable for a memento for Mc. (It is proven that Michelle respects Sean and Mcâs relationship and as such I feel Michelle is way past jealousy at this point and more so is happy to be able to help Sean with something like this.)
* Quinn is more upset than anyone at losing Mc. Itâs not fair. Quinn had accepted that she would one day die and Mc ending up saving her. Then Mc had to accept their fate and there was nothing Quinn could do. Just when she finally thought they could be together and could have a life together, when she thought that Mc could actually do anythingâŚ.they make the ultimate sacrifice for her and the others. Quinn would collapse to her knees screaming why. Why extend her life and then give up on their own? The only thing she could mumble as the others help her onto the boat that comes to save them was âI would have been willing to stay here with you.âÂ
* Quinn is in a slump for quite awhile. She tries to go on in life for her parents sake, for the others, but her friends know sheâs hurting. Her smile doesnât reach her eyes. Her skin is paler than usual. The circles under her eyes are darker. Michelle and Grace are her main supports throughout this dark time and while Estela and Zahra struggling a bit with emotions at times they always do their best when the come over to hang out with Quinn. Quinn always tried to let the others know how appreciative she was about their help and was happy she could always openly cry with them around.
* Quinn regrets more than anything that she hadnât taken pictures with Mc when she had the chance to do so. To have something she could remember them by and all the time they had spent together. Quinn did her best to draw from her memory all the times they had spent together. The pictures arenât great and Quinn refuses to show them to anyone but she always feels a mix of fondness and nostalgia when she looked at it. Her favorite picture is the one she drew of their handfasting ceremony.
* She had to be held back by practically everyone. Otherwise Rourkeâs blood would have been decorating the beachâs sand. Or at least thatâs what Estela kept telling her she was gonna do to himâŚbut deep down she knew she wouldnât. Because even in the back of her mind she could practically hear Mcâs voice telling her she was better than Rourke and that it wasnât what they would have wanted her to do. She felt some satisfaction when she saw Rourke helplessly trying to find more crystals to use for his so called dreams since she had finally seen the man brokenâŚ.but it came at the cost of her beloved McâŚand that was too much of a price to pay for anything.
* Estela didnât have the heart to tell anyone outside of her friends about Mc. She felt to some extent that if she admitted out loud that her Mc was gone she would have to completely come to terms with it. And though she knows to some degree she should she also couldnât easily. Mc had loved her for everything she was, helped her with everything on La Huerta and even helped her come to terms with what happened with her mother. But now they werenât there to help her come to terms with thisâŚwhen she needed them the most.
* Estela has kept the ribbon that was used in her handfasting ceremony with Mc. Itâs one of her most prized possessions and sheâs very protective of it, often clutching the fabric in the hand that had been tied with theirs whenever she woke up from a particularly bad dream and will play Mcâs last message to her on loop to help her fall back asleep. These help Estela reconfirm that no matter what Mc was real and what they had was real.Â
