I get asked a lot what does a bad day feel like to you? And I feel now is a good time to come to terms with it. A bad day for me is feeling empty, that I cannot accomplish anything at a specific moment despite previous achievements, these achievements will be dismissed by anxiety telling me that what I've done will never be enough whilst my depression tells me there's no use in trying. My PTSD then comes along and reminds me why I'm this way, allowing my depression to drag me down further in self hatred and despair. I will be consumed by an invisible nothingness that feels like a brick wall, stopping me from doing the simplest things like making a drink or even simply getting out of bed. Some days I can get past these feeling, other days it consumes me like a wave of instability. But I'm not ashamed of it, it's who I am and I will learn with time that all these episodes will pass and that they do not define my being. #survivor #mentalhealth #ptsd #anxiety #depression #yourfeelingsmatter #yourmentalhealthmatters #scarrednotscared
