i fell from heaven, now i'm living like a devil

Chuckling, Marcus hummed, “I imagine you have all the young men clamoring for your attentions.  You look absoulutely enchanting,” he told her.  “I hope you saved a dance for me.”  He sipped his own drink and nodded.  Sophia knew how to treat her guests, none of that watered down alcohol nonsense.

Evie just shrugged, a little smirk added on, “They can try, but they’ve barely managed to grab it for more than a couple minutes.” She quipped back, the smirk on her lips still even as she sipped at the little straw in her drink. “I’m glad you think so. Yours is definitely an opinion I’d value.” She took another drink before putting the glass down on the bar. “You can have as many dances as you’d like, Doctor. Just say when and I’m yours.”

Marcus turned and smiled when he saw that familiar fall of red hair.  “I think mine’s behind yours,” he commented, reaching over the glass to grab his own.  Taking a moment to consider her dress, he said, “You’re looking lovely, Evie.  Is the dress one of your own?”

Even with a mask, Evie recognized the voice immediately and she turned to look more at him, watching the way he looked her over. She smiled brightly at the compliment, looking down at herself as she hummed softly, “I made modifications so...kind of?” She offered with a laugh. She took a sip of her drink, tilting her head as she looked at him, “You look quite handsome yourself, Doctor. Had I known you were here earlier I wouldn’t have wasted my time dancing with other boys and letting them buy me a drink.”

It’s definitely a delicate balance like any mixed drink, but something tells me that old woman’s got it down to a T. You might be on to something. Forget a cup of coffee. A mimosa might put people in a better mood.

Well I mean....maybe it’s supposed to be a delicate balance, but when it comes to me making them myself? They’re usually 80/20 with the alcohol ratio. I still think you’re right though and it’d, at the very least, relax people.

I overheard some old lady say that mimosas contain 32% of the daily recommending vitamin C intake. I’m not entirely sure I believe it but I like the way she thinks.

I guess it depends on the champagne-to-juice ratio, but that’s definitely a statistic I can get behind. Maybe a daily mimosa is what one needs to really start the day off right.

I’m sure you’ll look lovely in whatever you decide to wear,  Evangeline. I’ll dress up, yes, but I don’t think I’ll be doing much partying that night. Someone has to play the hostess and make sure everything runs perfectly. The party is for you, not me.

Now, question, is it masquerade-attire? Like big, overly fancy dresses? Or Halloween costumes? Even the hostess deserves to enjoy herself though, Miss! If you’d be okay with it, I’d happily at least get you a drink. I don’t think the whole thing would go up in flames if you relaxed and had a good time for even just five minutes.

So I’m having trouble deciding which thotfit I should buy next, so you as the audience have been nominated. Vote now on your phones whether I should buy slutty cher from clueless or slutty zelda?

As the date approaches, I would like to remind everyone that the Masquerade Ball will take place two weeks from now, on the Nineteenth, at Plaisir, and everyone is invited. Yes, that includes switches, and no, it is not a trick. Submissives will also be allowed entrance even without a Dominant by their side. “If I had my wallet I’d offer to buy you a new coffee, but I left it at home when I ran out the door this morning.” She said with a smile, albeit a bit embarrassed that she couldn’t even do that for the person she’d run into. Ruby tried to brush off that embarrassment, though, and shifted her bag from one shoulder to the other to get a bit more comfortable. “Oh - yeah, I am!” The blonde nodded. “I dance ballet. I’m gonna be going for the role of Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty.”

Evie waved her off, shaking her head, “Nah, it’s fine. There’s already probably too much caffeine in me anyways so maybe it’s for the best that some spilled--like, divine intervention.” she joked, laughing softly. She listened as the girl explained what she was doing, admittedly impressed, “That sounds pretty cool! I was never put into dance or anything as a kid, so I kinda envy people who actually have rhythm and whatnot. When’s the audition?”

Ruby was grateful, in this moment, for the fact that she wasn’t clumsy, for if she was she would have fallen on her ass from the impact. Instead she was able to catch herself, only stumbling back a couple of small steps. She took a moment to regain her composure, settling herself, before looking at the other and giving a little smile. “Oh, yeah, I’m good!” She said with a nod of her head, reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear, getting it out of her face. “I’m so sorry, really. That was my bad - I should have been paying more attention, I’m just… Very tired.” She rambled, finally catching herself and shutting up for a moment.

Evie decided put her phone back away, not wanting to risk it a second time and drop it. She looked the other girl over, noting the outfit she was wearing before nodding a bit, “Nah, again, you’re fine. Shit happens. I still have most of my coffee, and my phone didn’t hit the pavement, so we’re good. That makes two of us though- the tired thing. Hence the coffee.” She rose her hand up a bit, making a point of taking a sip before nodding to her. “You a dancer?”

PRIVATE: Italian is always a good choice. Hmmm…perhaps a nice dinner out and then a nightcap at my apartment. If it was warmer, I’d invite you to take a swim…though there is the hot tub.

Private:  Are you free tomorrow evening?  And what cuisine do you prefer, so I can make reservations.  Or would you like to have dinner at my place?  I could have my chef make anything, but it might be a bit chilly out on the balcony.
