The best advice I can give
A while back, I had someone ask me what the best advice I could give to someone who was interested in becoming a Daddy Dom would be. I looked at it for a while before I even started to reply because I had never imagined myself being any kind of a mentor before. Finally, I sent back one word: Don’t.
The truth is that, if you haven’t gone down the rabbit hole yet, you’re better off turning around and walking away. Stick with being a top or vanilla or whatever you are now. If you don’t have to live this life, you’d have to be insane to choose it. If this isn’t who you already are and a manifestation of your true self, then don’t try to be something you’re not.
You’re going to have all kinds of false accusations made against you, and you’re going to encounter so much random hate. You’re going to see an ugly side of humanity from people who are disgustingly misinformed and woefully ignorant. You’re going have labels slapped on you that you don’t deserve. Eventually, you cease paying attention to the vanilla world because you devalue the opinions of the idiotic masses. But that’s not the worst part.
Inside the lifestyle, you’ll find tons of fake doms and daddies; pathetic excuses for men who just use the title to get laid. They do more damage than all of the vanillas combined. Watching the carnage these frauds and posers leave in their wake will hurt your soul to the core. Outing them can become an obsession if you’re not careful because you’ll want to protect all of the littles out there. But that’s still not the worst part.
The littles you encounter are as diverse a group as you could ever hope to find. There are many different types of littles out there, and every single one of them is special and wonderful in some way. But there are some who are using it to gain attention. Some who know what to say and how to act the part just to draw people in. They are calculating and manipulative and they are very good at it, but they are still not the worst part.
Even once you’ve found a true, special little one, things don’t get any easier. You’re going to worry incessantly about them. You’re going to lose so much sleep and you’re going to expend so much mental energy thinking about their needs and anticipating ways to meet them as they arise. You’re going to play through every possible outcome of every possible scenario every time something comes up just to make sure you have a plan.
You’re going to get hurt by the one you trust and love more than anyone in this world. The person who is at the very core of your being and the center of your universe is also going to be the source of your greatest hurt and despair. You’re going to lie awake at night praying for death, only to have your prayers ignored and the misery prolonged. That is the worst part. That is the loneliest you’ll ever feel, and the pain is the most severe you’ll ever know. It’s excruciating and horrendous and nearly inevitable.
If you have the choice, you should turn around, walk away and never look back. If you can leave it all behind, then you absolutely should. There is so much work involved and so many hard times ahead. Tough decisions and sleepless nights are de rigueur, if you’re doing it right. As @instructor144 likes to say, “It isn’t all spankings and blowjobs, kids.”
So, why do I do it? It’s who I am. I don’t have a choice, at least not one that I can live with. Make no mistake, there are a great many rewards that come with this lifestyle, and you’ll experience things that you never imagined you would. The rewards are more than worth the hardship involved, but you have to be willing to put in the work. If this lifestyle is just a hobby for you, then walk away. On the other hand, if you are like me and you don’t have a choice, and if you’re willing to work, then welcome aboard. It’s gonna be a hell of a ride, so buckle up.
