After four years of undercover development, planning, writing, and creative preparation, BMedia Press Group is proud to officially announce the launch of its newest animation division, BMedia Animation, and its first original animated WebTV project: Stylish Relay – Childhood Days.

Scheduled for production throughout 2026 and 2027, Stylish Relay – Childhood Days represents a major milestone for the company and marks the beginning of an ambitious new chapter in visual storytelling.

The project is inspired by a portion of the upcoming novel Stylish Relay, an original coming-of-age story centered around the early life of Makoto Fukuhira, a fictional character based on the real-life experiences of nationally ranked competitive french swimmer Bertrand Vergnes.

While the forthcoming novel explores Makoto's journey through his junior high school years and his development as a competitive swimmer, Stylish Relay – Childhood Days will focus on an earlier and previously untold chapter of his life.

Set in Japan, the story follows Makoto at the age of ten as he begins to discover the values that will shape his future: perseverance, friendship, courage, discipline, and teamwork. Through his first experiences in the world of swimming, viewers will witness the formative moments that lay the foundation for the challenges and achievements awaiting him in later years.

More than a sports story, Stylish Relay – Childhood Days is intended as a heartfelt exploration of childhood dreams, personal growth, and the importance of believing in oneself. The project aims to celebrate the universal experiences of young people striving to find their place in the world while learning valuable lessons through friendship and competition.

According to the production team, the project has been in development for several years and represents one of the most ambitious creative undertakings ever initiated by BMedia Press Group.
