Protective Style Tip: When I have a protective style in like the faux locs I have in now, I like to keep my scalp moisturized with coconut oil. It has so many benefits. It stimulates hair growth because it does a such a good job at getting deep into the follicles. It also moisturizes the hair and prevents dandruff. Also adds a nice shine without a thick cakey finish. Definitely recommend using this, even if you do not have protective styles in!

Loc knots on faux locs✨ So this is my second time giving this style a shot. The first time was months ago when I had my faux locs in before. However last time the curls that are supposed to be the result of the loc knots barely lasted for a day. So, this time around I did them and followed up by dipping each knot into a mug of hot water which I did not do the first time. I will leave these in for about 2-3 days and will be posting the results then! Hair Update✨ (since I haven't updated you all in a while on my hair) : I've pretty much been just letting my hair do its own thing and allowing the maternity gawds to bless my tresses. It has flourished so far throughout my pregnancy, I am now 29 weeks so my little man will make an appearance very soon ☺️ I am still contemplating whether or not I want to begin my loc journey but I will be sure to let you know when I make that decision. I just want to be clear. I am a huge advocate of the uplifting of African American women first and foremost. Not because I dislike people of other race and ethnicities, but because the society we live in makes it so hard for us to love ourselves wholeheartedly and abundantly. I feel I have been able to defeat the odds and love myself, flaws and all despite what my surroundings try to tell me about myself. From the way I talk, the way I dress, the way I wear my hair, etc. I think confidence in yourself is so key to LIFE. And I will always do what I can to help my African American people to strive towards genuine self love. Now with that being said, I am also a feminist. Though it’s harder (in my option) for an African American lady, it’s also hard for women in general. Being that we live in a patriarchal world. So as I am uplifting my people, I am still reaching out to all women that are willing to embrace the movement past the “attack” that we are under and the misconception they draw us towards. I appreciate people of all colors and sizes. I do not discriminate one race over the other because I am a member of one. But what I will do, and always will do, is make the extra effort to uplift my people (people of color) because it is very hard for us to rise above the hate and manipulations that are so deeply planted in our roots. If that offends you, then your eyes are glued shut. Those who don’t see that life is different for people of color, choose to ignore it and I pray for those individuals. I’ll just continue to do what I can. I take so much pride in my strength & confidence. It lifts me way up above so much nonsense. I want that for anyone, especially my people. #thatisall

New hair! Crotchet braids with Marley hair installed, cut/styled by me. Hair so big it can barley fit in the picture. Lol. So I'll be doing a twist out or curling rod set on this hair to dull it down a bit. Tutorial coming soon! 😉
