Oscar de la Renta has teamed up with The Outnet to create an exclusive line for the online retailer. The collection is due to launch on February 24 and will consist of 24-pieces (mainly dresses) that will range from $325 (£206) to $1295 (£823). Oscar de la Renta CEO Alex Bolen told WWD “Currently, the brand’s outlet model is driven by surplus merchandise, and this marks the first time product has been actively developed for this channel of trade . [such as] 40 years of patterns, fabrics and artwork that a lot of people spent time on. We thought, perhaps we can put something together in a way that is new, that doesn’t require as much development time and in an exclusive way.” Who else can’t wait to see the full collection? Alber Elbaz and French cosmetic brand Lancôme are teaming up to create a limited-edition beauty line. While most of the details are still under wraps, a quirky teaser video created by Elbaz and Pascal Dangin of Box Studios features Elbaz’s signature illustrations of lovely girls in colorful eye shadow, ruby lips and nails. This highly anticipated collection will be released on June 15.
