I’m fucking exhausted watching artists like Liv (@ livviartt) get harassed for drawing aged-up South Park characters in adult scenarios. The purity police will not shut the fuck up, and they keep pretending they don’t understand what “adult” means.
Let me be clear before anyone gets stupid: Yes. There are people who draw sexual shit of the kids as kids. That’s gross. No defending it. Block, report, avoid. End of story.
That is not what Liv is doing.
These are fictional characters. No real people involved. No victims. South Park is an adult cartoon built on sex jokes, violence, and pissing on taboos. It is not sacred childhood media.
Liv draws them grown. Like actually grown. Mid-20s, 30s, adult bodies, adult lives. Often straight up based on canon, including Post Covid, where they are literally adults with jobs, trauma, relationships, and yeah, sex lives. This is not “oops barely 18.” It’s adults. On purpose.
The show itself ages them up whenever it wants and puts them in fucked up, sexual, adult situations for laughs. If Trey and Matt can do it on screen, a fan artist drawing consensual adult smut is not the end of the fucking world like huh???
What makes me lose my shit is the hypocrisy.
Look at Stranger Things. Characters who were teens for most of the show. Actors who were actual minors at the start. The fandom is wall-to-wall smut, porn edits, thirst content. Nobody cares. No harassment campaigns. No moral panic.
So what’s the difference? Live action? Netflix vibes? People deciding cartoons are “worse” because they don’t want to think too hard?
It’s the same fucking thing. Characters that start young, reimagined as adults. But South Park artists get death threats while Stranger Things smut gets likes.
If you’re screaming about aged-up fictional adults but fine with explicit content tied to real former-teen actors, your morals are inconsistent as hell.
Support artists who draw adults as adults. Block the actual creeps. Curate your feed instead of using fake concern as an excuse to harass people.
Liv’s art is good. The rest of you can just stay mad.
