In the trenches too deep...

A lil Ever After comic I drew awhile back of my version of the story.

This reinterpretation of the story takes into account the music videos, combining the scenes that were made for the concerts that would in between songs, with some original ideas that are little but end up changing the story very drastically.

Idk if it’s easy to read or understand, but essentially once Carolina is finally defeated Porcelain and Josh confront her, and in this moment see her at her most vulnerable. Scared and horrified, as they get closer and she sees that key, covering up her chest immediately to hide the keyhole, before Josh and Porcelain comfort her and tell her everything is gonna be okay.

As you can see Carolina is a lot more sympathetic here in comparison to canon, and as you would guess, instead of a box containing Porcelain’s heart, it’s actually contained in Carolina herself.

Made these back when Haven was announced, before we got a name for it and speculation was running wild about what the theming was gonna be this go around, thanks to that teaser Josh did doing the Superman rip shirt pose, where most of us assumed Superhero album lol

Tried really hard replicating that superhero comic book feel, basing it off of Superman and Spider-Man, while also making it my own in my art style. Also Chibi!Josh because chibi Josh. He’s in his civilian form ala Clark Kent and Peter Parker, your local pop professor by day, and fighting monsters with the power of song and dance by night!

Still really proud with how these two came out. I also made sketches of his superhero outfit-
