It really is unfortunate that people are unwilling to admit the nuances present for the sake of virtue signalling, because what they're saying is that Bear is a morally black villain from frame one just for having a crush on his friend. And that wounds me. If anything, I felt that was his only redeeming factor. And I think that watching this glimmer of hope get twisted and extinguished as he continually doubles down on his worst traits makes for a very compelling story. People hand-wringing about "Bear is such a monster, he probably gave Sandy the pills on purpose so everyone would feel bad for him! I bet he killed his grandma too!" genuinely miss the point.

After more than a year, I finally managed to draw something — Funnybunny brought me back to reality (and gave me an obsession that's been going on for about two weeks now)

I actually really love the circus theme, and TDAC breathed life back into me again — life that, before this, I thought I didn't even have. The feeling of despair, torment, and loneliness has started to fade. Not because I made friends, but because I'm beginning to accept that I don't need them, and that it's better this way. All my former best friends, the ones I gave my whole self to only to get a door slammed in my face in return — I don't need them anymore.

It's about time I learned how to be friends with myself.
