VERSES 

so originally i came back, ready to write, but realized i jumped the gun too soon and i wasn't truly as ready as i thought to do so. i won't get into the nitty gritty details but i was not doing well and took legitimate time away to breathe.

i love writing, and i love quinn, so i'm going to be reworking a lot of my rules and things starting tomorrow to accommodate my current mindset which is mutuals only, with no writing pressures for either side. i also won't be on everyday but i will try to be more active on discord ooc so if we're mutuals already shoot me a quick DM and i'll give it to you.

“Well, you already know I’m pretty good at cardio~” A giggle leaves his lips at the expressions the other makes. So adorable. Pilli’s cheeks turn light pink. His hands stay in place, but his torso lets itself be pulled by the other deity, half purring at the closeness. “Hmm… Let me try those kisses~”

The remark had the cherub grinning filthily, eyes twinkling in mirth. He tries and fails to tamp it down, both endeared and aroused by the unspoken implication behind those words.   “ Mhm, very good. Ya know how to work up a sweat, ”  he teased, holding onto the other deity just a little bit tighter, eyes hooded.

He grins at the response, both verbally and physical, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of Quinn’s bright redness behind that blue front. He lets go of the other’s fingers, if only so his pinky could find Quinn’s, lacing them together gently as he stares into his eyes.

“You promise?”

When Pilli’s pinky hooked around his own something fluttered in his chest, feeling his cheeks heat up at the simple action. It was a small gesture, but it was monumental to him, eyes locked on their intertwined fingers before snapping up to look into the deity’s darker ones. It shouldn’t of been in this particular moment that he realized that he was in love with Pilli, but it had been building long enough that it finally came to the forefront of his mind now. This promise meant more then the other man may been aware of, and as nerve-wracking as it was, that was fine. Quinn was ready to promise anything because he would do anything in his power to keep it. So although his expression was gentle, unknowingly to him full of his internal love, devotion, and affection for the other man, his words were resolute. 

Oh.   

          Well, that was new. 

Honestly, Quinn hadn’t of been aware that someone was paying such close attention to him; that someone could see behind the mask he had so carefully crafted over the years. He could feel his brows furrow before he could control it, mouth twisting into a frown and gaze averting slightly. Sad wasn’t really the half of it, but he was managing. It was easier to push the anxiety and fear of what could happen, was sure to happen away instead of addressing it. He plucked that feeling out of his chest and shoved it one of his thousands of mental boxes. While he loved the sentiment, he didn’t have time to be sad. He had work to do and love to spread. Still, he couldn’t just tell them that. He was grateful for the kind words, and as always, eager to please.   Desperate for approval.   So, as if he had never frowned in the first place, his features smoothened out into a smile, familiar and at home at his face.

“ You’re too sweet, ya know tha’? Gonna make me cry for real! Thank you. ‘m gonna be super fuckin’ cliché and tell ya that you deserve all the love and happiness, too. Know that ‘m not goin’ anywhere, okay? An’ ‘m hopin’ that  ‘ one day ‘  is gonna be soon, yeah? Need to properly thank ya for being such’a sweetheart! ”

I love you so badly.” The brunette admits with a warm smile before kissing him softly on the lips. ’

Quinnton hears Veronica before he sees her, turning in time to watch her glide across the floor. He has barely a minute to figure out what she was planning on doing before quickly dropping the bag he held to the floor in preparation. He laughs as he catches her, holding her securely in his arms, loving the feel of her body wrapped around his. He wears his adoration all over his face shamelessly, smiling wide at her as she declared his love for him. She always made him so soft. He kisses her back just as gently, hoisting her up a bit for better leverage, trying and failing to keep the press of their lips chaste.

“have you ever seen one of these before?” she’s wildly curious and cannot help but speak out loud. 

“Oh we’d be wonderful together…” His hand slides across the table, fingers lacing with Quinn’s on top of it, eyes glimmering bright gold for a second. “But you think the world is ready for such a power couple?”

ah, that explained it… a thought to herself as she hovers in momentary silence. fingers intertwine as her hands fold together on top of her lap. “no worries,” she offers the other in response to his initial, small comment that she presumed was intended for himself. “i am relieved to hear that i am able to help you, that’s all.”

“What part of my body suggests I jog?” He sniggers and can’t help but give in, walking towards the other god with hands in his pockets. “They better be the best hugs and kisses I have ever gotten.”
