Now, she could feel her jaw dropping–she closed it up gently, not realizing how far back Elizabeth’s past, or her past life, was like. “I…never knew. Then again, you velvet room members have a lot to your past…” She whispered as she felt a bit privileged to know more about Elizabeth. Fuuka moved her hand to her chest and closed her eyes. She opened her eyes slowly and looked at Elizabeth.

“…maybe it was fate that I was meant to be found by the members of SEES. And, well, I think you would have kept me to yourself with your other sibling in the Velvet Room.” Fuuka stated, knowing that she only spoke of Theodore and her, not knowing of the others. She had many questions to even ask Elizabeth, but didn’t want to ask her and overwhelm her. She coughed and tried to hide her cheeks with her hand. “A-anyway–isn’t the Reaper attracted to those seeking death or…something like that?” 

A slight tilt of her head, “It is no more amazing then any of those we guide through their journeys, simply longer.” Many times longer considering once one was revived as a member of the velvet room they became ageless, but it was that wasn’t something she wanted to bombard her with right away. Instead she just smiled slightly and reached out to brush a bit of hair from Fuuka’s eyes. 

Fuuka was a bit surprised to hear that she intervened on her 10 hours in Tartarus, while she was missing back a while ago. “Oh? I…never knew you actually did.” She lowered her eyes, unsure of what to say. She was happy that someone kept an eye on her, when not many people really noticed her–so, maybe she should have thanked her, but then again she never knew of Elizabeth’s methods.

“…you were able to sense my Persona, when I haven’t even summon it so early?” Fuuka asked, wondering if all velvet room members were able to sense people with and without Persona powers. Then again, she could easily sense how strong they were anyway. “I-I mean, I’m surprised you didn’t come rescue me yourself–earlier that is. Unless you couldn’t?”

It wasn’t quite that simple of course, but she gave a nod, not only had she known about Lucia and Juno long before she awoke to their power, she knew the actual saint and the goddess quite well. “Lucia is a friend of mine, and has been for over a millenia, as for Juno I admit that I know her much better as Ἥρη but yes I was aware she chose you long before you awoke her presence within yourself.”

She blinked, then smiled, “I do not normally enjoy things such as this, but I believe that doing it once will hurt nothing. I do hope you plan to join me however, eating something so grandoise alone feels wrong somehow Kotone-san.”

“Hmm… either works. My tastes are recently more on tea since the bad quality of Inaba PD’s coffee machine is causing me to drink less more quality coffee: you can control the tea quality more by yourself.” She mused how she had a liking for most English tea flavors and green tea.

She blinked when Elizabeth she was intriguing as a person. “…thanks? I these days assume that unless mentioned or proven otherwise people focus on either my gender - which is a dumb focus in the first place - my age and reputation, or my impression as an individual.” It was a bit of a compliment and confusing to her.

She could not help but chuckle, it was not until she had a cup of coffee at Akira’s uncle’s that she actually understood why anyone liked coffee, she still preferred tea but she would enjoy a cup at Leblanc at least once a week, and she always left a tip that showed her appreciation for the coffee she drank, usually double the price of the cups she ordered. “I do prefer tea myself as well, lavender lilac is my favorite. However if you would like a good cup of Coffee, there is a cafe that I can take us to which is the only place that I enjoy the coffee of.” It would be a slight break in the rules but nothing major, to open a velvet door leading to the cafe wasn’t technically allowed, as taking any non fool into the sea of soul was frowned upon, but it wasn’t one that Igor or Philemon would truly complain about either, not unless she did it with multiple people constantly, adding in that Naoto was quite a special case having saved Inaba and many other places.....well she earned the right to special treatment.

The reaction caused her to pause, had that not been the correct thing to say? Josei had taught her quite a bit but she was still very confused about what was socially acceptable, what was actually a compliment or what was more frowned upon. “Forgive me if I have misspoken, I am still quite unaccustomed to social interractions. I would argue that your gender being the focus is something of a compliment at times, because one might focus on such to make sure they are not offending you, as opposed to focusing on it because they want to demean you. If you were transgender for example some might desire to know if they should refer to you as male. That is simply one example however.” Did that clear up the confusion? She wondered.

Fuuka felt her cheeks heating up, never having someone so close to her like Elizabeth. But, she kept herself calm and collected her thoughts and nodded. “Why not? Maybe if we like this place, then we could make it a weekly adventure.” She smiled softly as she took the first step, wondering if the place would be crowded at night. Fuuka played with the ends of her shirt with her free hand and bit her lip.

“So, Elizabeth,” Fuuka turned her attention back to Elizabeth, “I have been meaning to ask you something.” She really didn’t know how to ask her something serious. She didn’t want to bring it up, but she felt something nagging at her. “Was there something that drew you to me, specifically?”

A weekly date with her, that sounded quite pleasant honestly. Even if it ended up just being a normal friendship and a weekly hang out instead, it would still be something special that she would cherish honestly.

“It helps to have a photographic memory. I have a lot of technical books at home, but I don’t so much read them as I skim and memorise them.”

“I still don’t sports, though. I’m like a cat: exercising me is just weird.”

She gave a singular nod at that, “An eidetic memory is indeed a benefit, but it also can be quite an issue. I do hope that you are able to handle the burden of such through your life.” She had suspected as much, if the other did indeed have one though, an eidetic memory could be very traumatic, the inability to forget anything at all, and sometimes even to remember things you would desperately want to forget, in some cases even their own birth, though that was exceptionally rare and she greatly hoped that Futaba didn’t have an eidetic memory upon birth.

“Asking loaded questions is unbecoming of you, Master. But, if I must answer honestly. I couldn’t care less about Louis’s little experiment. Even less so about his infatuation with Pixie. As for Josei…I’m just as unsure. When she first called me to her side, I utterly despised humans. I believed all them were no better than that insufferable bastard, Tatsuya. Josei was different, once you made her aware of the special case I was, she started talking to me. Sometimes off into the late hours of the night.”

“I don’t think I started to care for her until Aigis arrived. From that moment forward, all I wanted was just to make sure that her days were joyful despite the trials she was forced to take. I even still remember my last words to her…”

“Days….weeks…decades…even centuries…I’ll sit right here, waiting for you. You may have suffered in your life…I have as well…I know that pain never leaves you, but understand this. Your smile is the most beautiful sight I’ve seen in my life. You make me feel like existing has meaning, Josie. So…even if you’re gone..even if I can’t spend my days with you how I wish…I’ll wait…I’ll wait for the day that I can hold you and tell you I love you again…no matter how long it takes, I’ll be here for you…”

“I promise…”

“And so, here I am, Master. Counting the days whilst I wait.”

“However, I would like to clarify one thing, Yu, Akira, the Investigation Team, and even the Phantom Thieves. They’re all cherished humans in my eyes. I feel no less honored to have met them.”

Words that she understood, Josei was someone special in ways that no others could be, granted she wasn’t close with Souji Seta or Akira Kurusu, but that didn’t mean she didn’t understand that Alice had her own bonds, still she wondered about the other’s feeling sfor Shura, he was the only one whom could go toe to toe with Alice on his own, and in her full power. He had tamed and allied with her during her strongest, before Master Philemon restricted demons actions in the world as a whole.
