How I painted “Late Afternoon Fog” from Sarah Griffin Thibodeaux on Vimeo.
There's so much fog in Maine. It just sweeps in--it's really beautiful. It comes in all of a sudden. In this painting, I wanted to kind of capture that kind of gray envelope and how it sweeps over the land. And really we just get these little notes of the seaweed, the rocks, and the way the sea as it gets closer so it turns into this turquoise. I love this little painting. It's 12 by 12 square and I feel like it gives that feel of Maine and the rocks and that feeling of the tide and the fog. This is painting 465, "Late Afternoon Fog."
