It was your birthday today.  Not texting you was one of the most difficult things I’ve done.  Did you notice?  Did you think I forgot?  Did you think about me at all?

“Hurt”. It’s one syllable. Short, simple, fleeting.  Like a stubbed toe or a paper cut.  One syllable isn’t enough to convey the true scope of the impact.  Betrayed.  Shattered.  Devastated. Destroyed.  

As much as it hurts that you aren’t here, I don’t know that I have the strength to let you go.

Historic Downtown Conway in Arkansas. I was here for work, and while there wasn't a ton to do (compared to other places I've been), what was there was genuine. Good old fashioned "aw shucks" and "sir" and "ma'am" and all that. More pictures of Sea-Tac's breathtaking glass walled Central Terminal. I highly recommend getting to the airport early, so you can get a front row seat, relax in a rocking chair, and engage in some planespotting. The difference between Sea-Tac and Washington-Dulles' near-windowless C&D Concourse is like night and day. Where Sea-Tac inspires wonder and imagination, Washington-Dulles is punishing- the only thing it inspires is images of bureaucracy and cube farms. As testament to hat, I didn't take a single picture inside Dulles.
