Please stop being nonbinary too. God only created one gender. You must conform to that.
THERES ONLY ONE NOW?????
i agree so much about making your blorbos pathetic but i do fear that many take this to mean 'make them more traditionally feminine/submissive' which genuinely hurts my soul. make your blorbos pathetic in interesting character-oriented ways. understand their neuroses and turn the dials up to eleven. juxtapose the parts of life they handle extremely well with the parts of their lives that make them eat shit. make them angry. make them cold. make them pave their own way to hell while building walls preventing them from seeing any other way. please i'm begging you no more pathetic as an euphemism for bottoming im gonna mclose it.

sometimes people experiencing psychosis and/or mania will come up to you on the street and talk in confusing or upsetting ways. your job is to either have a regular human-to-human conversation with that person or politely leave. your job is not to call 911. do not call 911. you might kill that person if you call 911.
I don't even have the energy to screenshot and respond to your tags- what the actual fuck is wrong with you? "the cops are scared and rightfully so" "mental health calls are the scariest for cops" OH so this isn't about the safety of psychotic & manic people this is about piggy feelings?
and no, actually, this is not USA specific and no, actually, people from other countries should not ignore this post. police violence and sanism weren't invented in the US and they are certainly not unique to here. if you (or anyone) thinks that this bullshit doesn't happen elsewhere then you are not listening.
cops r Some Guy with a Gun
do we want Some Guy with a Gun in this situation? answer is usually "NO"
This is legitimately useful reframing. A while ago I started replacing the word "cop" in my vocabulary with "a man with a gun." It really puts things into perspective.
This homeless person is making me uncomfortable. Should I call [a man with a gun]?
My neighbor is having a loud party. Should I get [a man with a gun] involved?
There are some teenagers skateboarding. Do you think [a man with a gun] would get rid of them for me?
It makes it very clear what you're saying. I can call a man with a gun to threaten or hurt someone mildly inconveniencing me. You're not calling the cops, you're calling A MAN WITH A GUN into a situation that does not warrant a firearm handled by a volatile lunatic who will not be held accountable for his actions.
This is great advice.
I have made a lot of cops and former cops mad by pointing out that I solved all the same situations they solved without a gun at all. I made them even more mad when I said, "Having a gun makes you the biggest coward in the world. Because everything you perceive as a crisis is always solveable with Gun. I have met most of the same emergencies and crises that you have, and I have competently solved them without Gun by talking to people, yet you've never met a single crisis you couldn't solve with Gun. Eventually everything that scares you ends with you getting your gun out, whereas I've been scared by a lot of situations I walked out of without ever resorting to Gun. Because I didn't have one. The fact that I'm standing here before you today means you don't need a gun in nearly every situation you have ever brought a gun to, and you're a whiny baby with a deadly pacifier. Therefore you're a coward and I'm not."
They really don't like this, and it's one of the reasons I don't work for the government anymore.
Most people who are at cross-purposes with you are just at cross-purposes with you, and you can solve that with curiosity and teamwork and human empathy. Or by realizing they're not reasonable right now, deciding discretion is the better part of valor, and walking away at a decent clip. Never invite a coward with a gun to your crisis situation. They can only solve the problem with Gun, they have nothing else to contribute.

if I were jensen ackles, even if i truly and wholeheartedly did not think destiel was a good ship and i had never intentionally played into it even once. i think i would give it lip service whenever possible. i would be like ‘yep I did that. dean is hella gay for cas. all the purposeful looks? that was me. i made dean stare at cas like that all the time. i played him that way ON PURPOSE from the beginning.’ and not because i wanted to appease the fans or because i wanted them to cheer me on. no. i would do that because if the general consensus was that dean was gay for cas as an intentional acting choice on my part, then everyone would praise me as a brilliant actor with perfectly natural chemistry instead of coming to the conclusion that yes, i, hypothetical jensen ackles, was not in fact making jenius jacting joices but had instead simply been staring at my coworker’s lips for twelve years. because that’s exactly what happened, assuming destiel was actually unintentional.
Mutual pining is great, but you know what's even better? Mutual pining where they're both fully aware the feelings are requited, they just can't do anything about it for other reasons. Or maybe they technically could but they've had to choose not to, because of The Circumstances.
happy pride
This is the last thing I’ll say about it, but this applies to soooo many other things I see on here:
PSA, if you are called in/out, if you unintentionally hurt someone, if someone expresses they were hurt and that wasn’t your intention, if your words are interpreted in a way you did not intend…. you can literally just apologize.
A grand majority of the time, a simple apology and acknowledgement is enough! You can say you didn’t mean it and try to explain again, but you need to recognize and own that your words hurt someone.
Doubling down may feel instinctual. It hurts you to be told you did something wrong—and that’s okay, that is a hurt all humans know. To grow as a person you have to resist the urge to retreat from that pain. Own up to it, learn from it, and we all carry on feeling better.
I actually don't know the original situation this post is referring to, but since it's on my dash I'll just add:
Getting called out/in is an honor. It means someone trusted you. It means they thought that if they brought your behavior to your attention, you would be a smart and kind human and change your behavior.
If someone says something awful and I know there's no changing them, I roll my eyes and keep walking. If someone didn't roll their eyes and keep walking, and instead offered you their soft underbelly to risk saying, "Actually that's kind of fucked up," because they thought you'd value the information and adjust accordingly, you have been honored.
I was a pretty defensive kid for way too long, and this way of looking at it helped me. Thought I'd throw it out there in case it helps you.
This is genuinely hysterical

personally I think an underutilized ship dynamic is "this is so ill-advised that we are both aware on some level that it cannot possibly end in anything but a breakup so acrimonious that we'll spend the rest of our lives hunting each other for sport, but we have decided to keep making out with each other anyway."

Why the fuck are you suggesting putting CHILDREN in a club?
So they can sip grey goose, maybe have a cig, and feel the rhythm? Are you the fun police?
