If you feel you cannot complete a claim you grabbed - please remove your claim so that the Stocking Angels can see where they need to spread some extra love. We will start approving fills soon!

As long as the fic you fill the stocking with is a complete work in itself, and does not need the other parts to make sense, that’s totally grand. We just want each gift to be it’s own thing. Expanding on it after is fine, as long as that guideline is respected.

Head HERE to check out the 29 prompts you have to chose from. Remember, you don’t need to fill a prompt exactly. People have tagged other tropes they enjoy, so if the specific prompts don’t speak to you, you can cobble something from their other info. Don’t put in any of their DNWs, of course. 

Question: Can I fill a stocking if I don’t have a stocking?

YES! Please! 

Question: Should I claim any prompt I think sounds fun, or just the prompts I know I can fill? 

We want you to write anything that sounds fun, but be realistic about your bandwidth between now and September 25th when fills are due. You can drop claims whenever you want, but we have several Stocking Fairies who like to concentrate on stockings with low fills to spread love, so having an accurate count helps them and us.

Struggling with prompts? Here’s a few questions to get you thinking. 

- What trope do you want to see more of? Only one bed? Alpha/alpha? Bookshop AUs? Make those your short prompts!

- Do you have a favorite romcom? Make that plot the long prompt!

- Only have one long prompt and 3 short prompts? That’s okay! 

A few freebie long prompts for anyone struggling: 

- Character A is a single parent, Character B is a sports coach, Character C is a teacher

- Characters A and B have been together for a long time, but they’re looking for a third to permanently join their relationship

- Characters A, B, and C are celebrating their anniversary

- Characters A, B, and C are experimenting with roleplaying

- Character A owns a flower shop. Character B and C are customers.

- Character A gets in a terrible accident. Character B is their doctor. Character C is their partner. When Character A wakes up from the coma, the dynamic has changed. 

These do not have to be long and fancy, folks! Your prompts can be filled by a sketch, a moodboard, a playlist, a 1k fic - stocking stuffers. Pick something that would make you happy and let us create for you.

Stuckony Summer Stockings are back for 2021! We had so much fun last year that we simply had to do it again.

We’re not, no, but we’d be thrilled to participate in one that someone else ran. Anyone looking for the how to guide on how to run a stocking event, Flame and Ferret have been explaining their process for the past several @podonthesuit episodes in the segment “Life of an Event”.

This particular event will be a summer based one - a Christmas in July celebration - if we run it again. We are thinking we will since you all came out in such force for this one.
