“I’m always kind of lost- I’m terrible with directions.”

That, although accurate, was not what I meant. 

“Then what did you mean?”

“I’m always kind of lost- I’m terrible with directions.”

“I am just lost on where we are, in no other way- especially no the one you are implying. I am a happy employee of Strexcorp, Sir.” he said, forcing that overly-wide smile that hurt him just slightly to do. “I was just no sure where we were, that is all....”

“What a shame.  Though you know all visitors must stay a mandatory two week period before allowed to leave.”  His head tilted to the side a bit, wondering how this new face came so unprepared.

“Yes I did hear about that before coming- but that is just about how long I planned to stay.” he replied, shrugging his shoulders and smiling. “It’d be nice to have someone to show me around though- and you seem really informed.”

“Well you certainly picked a good place then.  If you are need of copies of the forms that must be submitted within your first twenty-four hours you can get them from City hall between two and three in the morning.  Just remember they have to be signed with blood as a precaution.”

“Well thats an interesting custom- though I have to say the prospect of forms is very agitating. I have a job in my hometown and all they have me do is sign stupid and useless papers- its really terrible for soone like me.” he explained with a pleasant smile despite his inner annoyance. He was a scientist, a genius, and yet he was still stuck with the paperwork.

“That’s the most mundane of everything here.  Your welcome packet should have everything about eating where and when, what is allowed, what areas dont exist and which are off limits.  It’s all quite simple really.  The faceless old woman can assist you if you’re polite as well.”

“....Right.” he agreed, raising an eyebrow. “I don’t plan on being here very long- this is more like a business vacation.” he explained. “I’m just curious and have had almost no time for science, its really something terrible.”

“Ignacio- its nice to meet you.” the other greeted, his tone formal. He shook the others hand in silence.

Cecil cleared his throat, composing himself a bit.  He folded his hands behind his back, rocking on his heels.  “What brings you to our quiet little burg.”

“I just curious about it, I’m a scientist and a businessman- so these sorts of places are interesting to me.” he explained, rubbing at the back of his neck with a nervous smile.

“I suppose you dont.  But you do now, I’m Cecil.”  He stuck out his hand, offering it to the other

“Ignacio- its nice to meet you.” the other greeted, his tone formal. He shook the others hand in silence.

“Oh yeah? An’ why’s that?”
