This painting was done in person, en plein air, of the rock barrier at Inverness Beach, Nova Scotia. I was at the beach on a sunny afternoon with some co-workers. One of my co-workers accidentally got sand on my paintings, which turned into a happy accident. That's right, this piece is covered in actual Inverness sand on the sandy beach part of the painting! Summer 2022, This was a quick late evening sketch from my car of the boardwalk in Inverness, Nova Scotia at sunset. I remember painting this in early summer so the nights were still quite cold. This is a painting I did on site, en plein air, of Margaree Island from Inverness beach. I love looking at Margaree Island in the summer as the sun and the humidity warp what you are viewing; the shape of the island seems to change every minute on a hot day, an optical illusion, a mirage if you will. I am quite proud of how this little sketch panel came out and I hope this piece will one day bring some good memories and natures beauty into someone's home!

This painting is 8" x 10" in size and was hand painted on Inverness beach, Cape Breton! You may even see grains of sand in the paint, truly en-plein-air! This painting is of the view from the Harbor end of the beach, facing north towards Cheticamp. I truly am proud of how this painting turned out. This is a sketch I did summer 2022 of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Inverness, Nova Scotia on a calm sunny day. I did this sketch to practice painting water. I felt so calm and relaxed while I painted this. It is 8"x10" in size. It is currently posted on my Etsy store ( stressedoutshop.etsy.com ) and I hope it can bring a calm sunny ocean day into someone's home or office space!

Summer 2022, Inverness beach, Cape Breton. One night we had a really trippy purple sunset, I believe this was mid summer, early August. Very hazy out. I really tried to capture it in a messy painterly style. This painting is now located in Indiana with a friend of mine who purchased it on my Etsy store. She said it reminded her of my hair, which is my favourite colour, like this painting: purple.
