You know what’s canon? Simon becoming a total goofball after he noticed that Wilhelm was checking him out.

Simon, lying there in the afterglow, happy, lovingly watching Wille get dressed and thinking how much he would prefer to spend the whole day alone with Wille.

Okay, let's get to it. This may get a bit long.

My favorite part of this scene, is their nervous trembling beginning and their shift in initiative, before they get fully sexual.

The way they are both looking at each other before they start kissing. Simon eyes shifting, taking in Wilhelm's entire face, while moving his body to make his position more comfortable. The way he strokes Wilhelm's temple and neck to give him some sort of physical consent to get kissed. The way Wilhelm looks at him, from his eyes to his lips.

After that stare-down. Wilhelm positions himself before kissing Simon. He is so dominant and determined here - removing the duvet without taking his eyes off Simon (this is a Wilhelm trademark, and I'm here for it!). Simon is literally reaching for his mouth, but Wilhelm is the one in control here, and doesn't kiss Simon just yet.

Simon's shaky hands when they finally kiss. His hand hesitant on Wilhelm's chest, before he brushes his hair away from his face.

He's not sure he likes it- not in this moment, when opening up would mean he lets himself be seen. He lets himself be known. So he turns away slightly, and Simon kisses his shoulder.

It's okay, he's saying. We don't need to discuss it.

They discuss it in the evening. How Kristina would always yank his hand from his mouth. As a child it was so he couldn't suck his thumb in public. As a teenager so he wouldn't bite his nails. It was never because of the injuries it may have caused. It was for the image they put out.

And they discuss how, when Simon touched him, he felt powerless and out of control again. How he used to yank his hand away from his mother so she couldn't touch him and wouldn't see how bitten his nails were.

The next time Wille bites his nails in front of Simon, Simon simply holds his hand out. Wille takes it- a little hesitantly- and Simon presses a gentle kiss against his knuckle.
