Personality:

Sweet, obedient, and easily led. Milou's slow to process, easily distracted and often mistaken for simple-minded, but the truth is tied to a trauma that carved away the parts of her. She's a crybaby at heart, quick to tears when overwhelmed and often hides behind/relies on others rather than standing on her own. She constantly seeks validation like a thirsty flower reaching for sunlight—any attention and affection, platonic, sexual or romantic, becomes her lifeline. Her safety net. Regardless if it's healthy or not. To her, it's less about love and more about survival, because if she's wanted then maybe she has worth.

Her birth name is Emily Hargreaves, but she abandoned it after the farm incident. She also started chewing on the ends of her sleeves when she's nervous ever since.

Loves strawberry milk but can't finish it without tearing up a little. Reminds her too much of the farm.

Purposefully hikes her skirt up to make it shorter.

When startled, she makes a sound closer to a squeak than a scream. Her laugh also sounds like hiccups if she's been crying beforehand.

Has a habit of clinging to people's arms when she feels safe around them. When she's really overwhelmed, she curls up into a small ball like she's trying to disappear. Will also sleep in a similar way: curled up with her knees tucked to her chest, even if it makes her sore in the morning.

Despite being slow to understand, she remembers nice gestures with almost painful, terrifying clarity as a way to justify people's actions. Has a tendency to idealise those people to the point of blindness, excusing their cruelty as long as they showed her kindness once.

Her biggest regret is not loving herself more when she had the chance.

Easily distracted by butterflies, fireflies, or falling leaves—will stop mid-sentence just to stare at them.

Can't stand silence for long and fills it with small noises (hums, sighs, whispers) without realizing.

Don't let her fool you. Milou can be toxic in her dependency. She clings so hard to attention/affection that she risks smothering or manipulating without even realizing it. She sometimes plays up her helplessness to get others to stay with her—not always consciously, but it works.

Though she's submissive and obedient by nature, she secretly resents how fragile she’s become and might lash out in small ways like passive-aggressive behavior.
