Wasn’t this house supposedly— neglected? You had just arrived to inspect it. It was something related to your work, something about photographing empty spaces, a possible scenery for your next photography session, or was it just your curiosity peeking? It didn’t matter in that moment since you had already snatched a photo. That you will later find out it’s nothing but an empty hallway.

You would pinch your cheek and arm and it would HURT!! It’s real!! You run down the hallway and a feast is awaiting you atop a candle-lit table. The room reeks of mold and as you look around your view is blocked again by that figure. Twirling around the room barefoot as her white transparent dress floats along. Long platinum blond hair touch your arm and a wave of strawberry and cream splashes on your face.

“Who are you?” You cannot help but ask. You reach out to hold her arm but she takes a few sprinkle steps backwards and escapes your grasps. Her pink lips curve into a smile and her lilac-colored eyes finally rest on you. You feel magnetized, charmed even; frozen in place for a moment. A moment that felt like an eternity. You would come back to this memory in the future. To dive into this unexplainable euphoria you felt.

She giggles softly and with another graceful twirl she bows and disappears into the hallway along with the music. A wisp of air blows the candles and you stand in a dark room. It’s cold, and reeks of mold. The food on the table is rotten and you feel a chill run down your spine.

“I’d better get outta here.” You mumble to yourself and open your eyes.
