Has anyone who is part of the DID community seen The Crowded Room yet? I know there are only three episodes out right now but I was wondering how you all feel about the representation.
Iâm a psych student and I am interested in continuing to watch the show but obv not if itâs harmful. From what Iâve heard, itâs only based on Billy Milligan and theyâve changed stuff. Tom Holland has mentioned multiple times that itâs focused on asking for help and reducing stigma.
But I did see a post on here, from someone with DID Iâm pretty sure, that said anyone who watches it is responsible for the violence towards the DID community and I canât stop thinking about it. So I donât know if I should keep watching or at least wait until the series is over so we know for sure if itâs harmful or not.
