Anybody else find it interesting that everywhere the Word Bearers go, they turn it into a macabre demon infested nightmare. Temples soaked in ichor, giant monoliths made of the bones of sacrifice victims, so on and so forth.
But then in Shadows of the Past, we briefly see Lorgar's place on Sicarus, a demon world populated by brutalized slaves deep in the Eye of Terror, and it's classical architecture with white marble and colorful tile mosaics.
So he's fine with everyone else living in the literally hellish conditions his vision of the galaxy entails, but he still wants to live in a pristine, beautiful palace.
It feels like the CEO of McDonalds shilling a burger he won't even chew and swallow on camera. It's enough for vermin like you, it's good even, you should be so lucky as to eat The Product. Him, though, he'd never touch that shit. God no, are you insane.
