Seriously, juggling three accounts is making my head spin, especially since @tchoroaffection has been so neglected. Mind you, I'm laughing at myself as well. Looking at it now makes it PAINFULLY obvious. But I was hardcore RoLo back then, so like most Stormverine shippers, I was blind to what is the obvious truth. Taking fiction and turning it into fact - that's the RoLo way.
That, and staying firmly in the past while refusing to accept the present. Ye gods, what decade was this created in?
Strangely, the real shot is just as gorgeous and hold just as much angst, even if it does still give that "maybe if I fuck Logan he'll pay attention to me this time" vibe. (Uh...this IS real, right?)
Hell, I STILL dig Movie RoLo. If they were to return to the next movie as, say, headmasters, I'd geek the fuck out. And you know what? I think Stormverine deserves that - not the shippers, but the relationship itself. If we could have RoLo in the movies while T'Choro takes the comics, I would call that a win for everyone, especially Storm fans. I don't support movie T'Choro at all, mainly because it would make no sense unless T'Challa is cast. Nobody gives a damn about his bastard kid, and pairing Toussaint with Ororo is the very definition of "let's put two Black folks in love together". Plus Jamie Lawson as Storm? Don't make me laugh.

Unless Ayodele is extremely misinformed about the characters he’s writing for, T’Challa does not possess fangs. Never has. Guess who does tho… that’s right baby, Logan. Logan who was the only one Storm slept with in this plot… It’s okay if Ayodele changed his mind mid plot (it shows lol) but here’s the proof that he intended for her to be Logan’s baby. He was very pro Stormverine/Rolo before the haters got him, it happens. Children never last in marvel, she can join Kendall and her two siblings and all the other babies Marvel let drift in the wind. Matters not when the fandom keep the ship alive, that’s what the fandom is supposed to be for. Storm and Logan will forever have a fan base, have done for decades. I don't normally trouble myself with this plantation play flopship, but hell...they asked.
First, there is an entire blog dedicated to this very thing, including 28 days of moments that blow all of these pathetic crumbs of affection out of the water. Unfortunately, the team who put it all together are primarly Black, and RoLo actively rejects anything that comes from any writer, editor, character or shipper who is Black or Black-adjacent.

We won't even get started on how poorly Wolverine treats Storm when they are sleeping together (as they have never had an actual relationship before by Storm's own admission). Besides, Marvel has already established that T'Choro is endgame and named their canon grandchildren, so this is just copium. But let's just checkmate in two pictures, long after the annulment (2019).
Again, because Storm is Black, her words do not count in the cult of Stormverine. No wonder Murewa Ayodele had to set Stormverine straight yet again after RoLo refused to acknowledge Storm's daughter because she isn't biracial. I feel so bad for the man b/c he was so excited about introducing Furaha. But like Dr. Angelou said: when someone shows you who they are, believe them. Guess he got tired of being Stormverine's Black Friend, but the truth is that he revealed his intentions ages ago.
Confirmed WITH RECEIPTS: The RoLo future that was NEVER going to happen (and the T'Choro future that was)
Note: Storm solo writer Murewa Ayodele read over this post and approved of it before I hit submit.* Posted under a blog I haven't used in years b/c all the salty-ass RoLo blogs who blocked me NEED to see this for their own mental health. For once, I'm not going to interject my smug commentary - I'm just stating the facts (for once).
It's time to put an end to this "T'Choro is the reason we didn't get Stormverine" lie to rest once and for all. And once again, it's coming straight from the writer himself. Note, however, that all opinions are my own, which is why I've worked hard to keep them to a minimum. Also, for anyone who wants to claim that I'm making all this up, go straight to the bottom first.
One of the main things I've criticized Ayodele about - and continue to criticize to this day - is that he, in my opinion, has not been vocal enough about the abuse Black Panther/T'Choro fans take from the Stormverine community. Along with the general anti-Blackness and vitriol we face, T'Choro fans are regularly accused of having "bullied" Ayodele into turning away from Stormverine in the Storm solo (like here and here just to name a few). This, despite the fact that...
It was pretty damn obvious where this ship was going to steer beginning with the very next issue and peppered throughout the series, and
Pandering to a ship that hates you over a ship that loves you (as small as it may be) is just dumb.

But contrary to the aims of our former president, way too many children were left behind. Even Ayodele saying that the RoLo fandom was getting carried away with the claim of Storm being sad that she wasn't having Wolverine's baby (completely false) wasn't enough to get the point across. Finally, in March, I all but begged Ayodele to just say so. I embrace the Anracism and bathe in vitriol, but misinformation about my ship is just too much.
Here is his response, dated 3/13/26:
I've actually cleared the air on this multiple times on livestreams. I said why I chose the sex scene and that to Storm it was a mistake. We've talked about BP, Sango, Hadad, and so many other ships on livestream and how I don't think I would explore any of them besides BP (possibly through the Vibranium armor).
Two months later, we know that's exactly what was going to happen. Recall that we saw Storm in the vibranium armor in Storm #2, which was confirmed as her "security blanket" despite being beat up to all hell. In fact, the next arc was going to be in Wakanda, with T'Challa confirmed as King of the Dead, and T'Challa and Ororo were going to reunite over her armor.
Now, everyone who knows me knows how obsessed I was with that armor - to the point that I started a fanfic and even had numerous art pieces commissioned for it. (Recall that my theory was that T'Challa gifted it to her between #5 and #6, which was just before the T'Choro crumbs started dropping). After finding out that we weren't going to get the story behind it, I asked Ayodele if I was right or not. Sadly, I was wrong. However...
"T'Challa didn't it give her. But he is supposed to help her improve it. And he will be incredibly sad when he sees how badly damaged the armor was -- hurt to his bones Storm had to fight whatever could do that to vibranium all by herself. It's the repair of the armor and the issues in Wakanda that'll bring them together. BP is supposed to redesign the armor to operate better than what Moon Girl and Shuri previously designed."
So! Stormverine. Let's review.
Your ship not sailing had nothing to do with Black Panther or with T'Choro fans. Ayodele never intended to make them a couple. Note that I am not claiming that Ayodele was going to reunite Storm and Black Panther romantically, but he sure as hell had no intentions to make RoLo a thing - or even bring him back at all, as he repeatedly said.
It's neither Ayodele's fault nor ours that you didn't read a single word past the sex scene. Had you done so - or had you listened to his Stormwatch chat a mere 48 hours later (or one month later or ever) you wouldn't have wasted over a year hating the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
Contining to insist that an Eisner Award-nominated comic writer was bullied out of writing RoLo isn't just unfair and unhealthy, it's insulting as hell. Stop treating Ayodele like he's the slow kid from The Blind Side.
Celebrating the end of the Storm solo because of Ayodele's future Wakanda plans is as hypocritical as you all no longer loving Furaha just because the creepy demon child you all wanted to be biracial showed up Black as hell. And denying her existence entirely is just...even *I* never suspected you all could stoop so low.
Y'all are never beating the allegations. Never.

Insisting that people only love Black Panther and Storm together because they are both Black is racist. SP fans have explained our NUMEROUS reasons for loving this couple over and over for over 20 years! There's even a whole Tumblr dedicated to exactly this.
Painting SP fans as ignorant fans who just need to read more comics is racist. We are just as well read and knowledgeable as any other ship. But when we come with evidence to support our points, we are dismissed as "obsessed" and "intimidated" by other ships.

Most of all, erasing T'Challa very existence from Storm's history (or worse, demonizing the man) is not only racist (so many negative Black male stereotypes!), it's completely dishonest. Why is it so hard to just accept that Storm was in love with, married, and still has deep affection for a Black man who still has deep affection for her in return? Why do Storm's non-Black lovers get pass after pass and excuse after excuse for the way they treated her over the years, while T'Challa is crucified for minor mistakes that Storm has long forgiven?
It's time for Stormverine to be honest with themselves and admit that they became a problematic ship a long time ago. That is why they are only relevant on social media, clinging to deleted footage and alternate universe depictions from a cartoon that is a quarter century old. Stop holding on to a single page from over a year ago that the writer himself said was a mistake. Stop looking to Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman as proof that you guys are relevant - those two are AARP age! Most of all, stop hating T'Challa just because he's a Black man. Judge him just as you would judge anybody else. If he treated Storm like a trophy wife, show us where. If he abused Storm, give us the issue number. That's right - it's Storm's Wakandan armor. The same armor that anti-T'Choro readers were so happy to see was "destroyed" at the end of Thunder War because it supposedly represented Storm getting away from Wakandan tech and "him". Every time a RoLoer dies...(or Why This Blog Exists in the First Place)

Disregarding the fact that I don't believe for a second that anybody called this child a white man's whore - she was trolling in a T'Choro thread and got her front laced is all - this is the reason why Stormverine L's was born.
I find that RoLo largely falls into two categories:
The ones who watched X-Men: TAS and fell in love with them after One Man's Worth, and
The ones who love Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman -largely because they are so anti-Black that they hope a 60 year old woman portrays a superhero half her age solely because the actress is half white.
Virtually no RoLo fans come from the comics, save for the weird race fetishizers who enjoy seeing Storm being used and discarded at the hands of a white man Wolverine. This becomes more and more obvious when we challenge these "fans" to actually read the comics. The more people read about the way Wolverine treated Storm for years...and the more they realize about how Logan constantly used and abandoned Ororo...and the more they see how unhappy Storm was as his head slave headmaster...and the more they witness the intense anti-Blackness in the Stormverine community...the more they turn away from Stormverine. All you have to do to be anti-RoLo...is read RoLo.
This is why the RoLo community has gone as far as to make up lies about us (me in particular) in an attempt to run us off Tumblr. As we all know, any time a RoLoer is talking, they're lying, and this is no exception. Nobody is bothering these people or reaching out to them - even @fyeahstormandwolvie admits this, despite encouraging and promoting the harassment. This is not bullying. It's educating - and seeing how loudly and proudly the RoLo community lies (especially about Black Panther and Storm), the more necessary the education efforts are.
Personally, I'm proud of what we're doing (you're as dumb as a RoLoer if you think this is a one-person effort). The frothing, shameful behavior of the RoLo community is just a delightful bonus. The aggravation and anger they are clearly feeling is richly deserved, well-earned and needs to be displayed for the rest of the fandom to see. Whatever I can do t inflame the ill will, I'm happy to do - just as long as it's honorable and on-board (unlike Stormverine).
T'Choro tried being peaceful. We tried explaining why we love Black and Storm together - there is literally a goddamn motherfucking blog dedicated to this. We tried finding middle ground. We tried understanding. We even tried "ship and let ship". This is much more fun.
Also:
We're not going to stop using the Stormverine tag.
We're not going to stop pointing out the double standards.
We're not going to stop calling out your racism and your lies.
And we're not going to stop making fun of you for being mad about it.
Call it obsession. Call it jobless. Call it being a loser. Call it whatever you want to call it. That's all your impotent-ass ship can do - call us names like you always do. We're still not going to stop until you quit telling lies about Black Panther and Black Panther fans. And RoLo is still going to continue to display the very behavior that likely made Marvel turn away from your irrelevant, disgusting-ass bullshit ship to begin with. Excellent! As for me, personally? The more you cry about it, the more I'm going to double and triple down. RoLo tears keep my locs shiny and strong.
