‘Patience’

Hávarðr (The Highest Guardian) Moonlight reflected on white feathers describing a circled flight. It marked the spot. Hávarðr made his way there on trodden ground, all the while lending his smile to old leafy friends, yet all the while dreading how far the claws of men had stretched. By his scout lay Reaper’s latest claim and so it was time to begin the routine, as he did for creatures or tree stumps alike: to collect the memories of the natural world. For the day will come when men, having turned all the land barren, will expire along with it. Thereafter, life will need a hand from a Green Wizard.
