Like, the little cameos were what made it for me, the couple lines of callbacks that remind you how big this world is and how you made your own tiny mark on it and its people.

I get that scope is important but... Morrigan with no reference to Kieran? Varric who cant mention Hawke? A whole Weisshaupt segment and fighting archdemons and you cant mention anything about the last warden who killed one?

Been going through the veilguard character creator videos frame by frame to pick out which hairstyles I wanna contemplate for my rook xD

Some progress on my dragon age origins fangame project.

Added the quick menu (with some not for public consumption empty spaces for adding things like, codex entries and quests... implementation to be continued)

Added and animated the pause menu & confirmation screen

Got distracted by starting to make some sprites for Morrigan and Alistair because they are the loves of my life.

My personal theory about these dragons is:

One of them is Ghils archdemon equivilant

The other is Andruil's undead archdemon equivilant (because im a fan of the andruil/ghil merge theory) brought back as a corpse. (it might have no horns because they were taken as a trophy, like Andoral's)

Mainly because imo it supports why you recruit Emmrich because:

Neve and Harding - you start with em they're auto employed

Bellara - expert on ancient elvhen tech (makes sense)

Davrin - need a warden to kill an archdemon

Lucanis - Expert in killing red lyrium using mages (ie. like the evanuris)

Taash - dragon killer, we got dragons to kill

Dragon Age Fangame Template Project

Hi DA fandom! I'm getting antsy waiting for veilguard news so I've started a little side project.

I've seen a lot of people in the fandom reflect on things like, speculating the kind of dialogue and interactions their ocs might have and it always struck me that as a fandom it would be cool to try out interactive fanfiction! So I'm going to attempt to recreate Dragon Age Origin's main UI elements inside the visual novel engine, Ren'Py, to hopefully facilitate and kickstart some creative projects in the fandom!

Project Goals

Recreate DAO's main UI elements for narrative purposes, including dialogue, choice and approval notification UI

Finish before Veilguard's Release (So, fingers crossed, before the end of October... or November)

Progress so Far

Main menu recreated

Dialogue and Choice UI working - tho a little buggy displaying multiple lines at once

Save/Load screen in progress, should hopefully in the end work like DAO, with the ability to save and display per Character

Goals for Next Update

Confirmation Screen finished

Quick Menu Implemented w/ placeholder icons

More save/load work (its beefy)

I swore to myself I wouldnt make my Rook design until I was in the character creator but then I thought of a Rook/Solas dynamic that gripped me oopsie.
