I will cuddle you when you’re cold,

you can cry upon my shoulder,

me: 'Let's make today a good day. Let's be productive!'

my mind: 'But what if we just stayed in bed all day?

me; 'But there's a lot to do...'

Here I see the sun come up and disappear again. 

Here I cried myself to sleep.

Here I laughed till my stomach ached. 

Here I grew and sat over the ages. 

Here I read my favourite book. 

Here I watched the seasons go by again and again. 

The sun comes up and the world is silent. 

The people are sleeping and I’m roaming the empty street. 

Who knows what today will bring?

A new day, full of possibilities. Full of opportunities. 

I decide that today will be special. Just because I can.

And I wanted you to leave. 

But now you’re gone and you left only silence.

‘What do you mean nobody important died? You died!’

‘And since when am I important exactly?’

‘First of all, you are important to me. And second of all, you are the heir to the throne. You were the hope of an entire nation.’

‘Well, that’s very tragic then. Well, good luck with dealing with this mess, I am going to enjoy my afterlife.’

‘No way, you made this mess, now you’re going to help me clean this up. But maybe you can explain first to my brother how we got into this mess.’

Just as bad as the others. 

I don’t want anymore. 

So I plug in my headphones, and forget. 

The music fills my brain. 

It’s like travelling without having to move. 

Like having someone else do all the work for me. 

So I just sit and relax, wait for the hapiness to come and get me.
