Can someone explain why milk goes so well with sweets? Is there something scientific behind it?

It’s like diluting the over abundance of sugar. Like how you would dilute alcohol with a chaser.

annnnnd it dilutes the sweetness bc of the v low acidity level and a certian chemical in milk absorbs fats and oils so like it clings to the oils and sugar in ur mouth and rinses it away !!
