A textbook example of “buying the dip”. Facebook reached a low of 207$ after the boycott of its ads news. Averaging down is the best way to approach such a situation, Facebook went down based on emotion, less than 5% of its ads revenue is at risk, not worth a 15% drop. Playing earnings on a stock that has run up is a very risky thing to do and it would be smart to put stop losses. Playing earnings in general is usually pretty risky because of it’s unpredictability.
