Just like the berry sangria

The deep dark well of depression calls my name as lay here recounting all of the pain and heartache of recent days, then weeks, then years and then every moment in between. I try to shift my focus to the positive. To the things I have to look forward too. To the plans that lay ahead but after a few moments it comes back. As if to say nothing is good, feel the hurt and sadness you know is still there. Like a warm blanket covering my body promising comfort and sleep. Only I have come to know how it will quietly slip over my head and take my breath away. I pray to my God for strength. For a hedge of protection. I see a reflection in the water but it is not my own. The devil is a liar, come to kill, steal and destroy. I do not want to dive into the well, nor slip and fall nor test the water. Guard my heart O Lord, Guide my mind for my purpose is thine...
