It's not hard to credit, there are plenty of reliable blogs who post their own gifs that are easy to use for sources (cutiepieautistic, heartnosekid, talos-stims, etc.) and it's absurd how some of you just refuse to do so or think typing 'gifs used don't belong to me!!!" is okay to do instead.

Like there are tutorials on how to credit/link if you'll put the effort in to search for them. The idea of reblogging posts with links to sources/making a blog to help source has crossed my mind but idk, it's not my job to teach you how to respect creators and not steal.

go into tumblr's search function

type in what you want, i usually also add 'stim' at the end of this, i.e.: soft pink stim.

find a gif you like

Save The Entire Post (preferably the original poster's post) To Your Drafts

then when you have finished putting your board together copy the link and Link The Post In Your Own Post Whether It Be In A Bit Of Text Or An Emoji.

Do Not Put It In The Image Description

Do Not Hold Onto The Link Til Someone Asks For The Credit/Link

Do Not Make The Link To The Original Source Inaccessable Whatsoever

You must credit your gifs, I don't care if you're making boards for fun or if they're 'personal', on tiktok or another platform.

Imagine having gifs of yourself floating around the Internet and no one will credit you, its not just about the stim gif makers but also about the people who feature in those gifs.

We recently saw someone who had the audacity to make a board poking fun at someone politely asking you to credit gifs that people spend hours making and putting together. I can't say I'm surprised but I am angry.
