ⁿᵃ ⁿᵃ ⁿᵃ still a monster

His question causes her to frown and her thoughts to halt. A re - do? Why didn't she think of that?! "Am I supposed to ask for a re - do nicely, pat my eyelashes to them?" That's something she could do. She can be persuasive when she wants to be, but has she before asked for a re - do? Never. "My next exam is in a couple weeks, then..." She pauses, taking a second to think when her next exam would be. "I don't know." The mere thought of her next exam causes her to sigh dramatically. She lifts her pinky up, wiggling it even. "With my permission, you can kick my door down if I don't wake up to your calls." It's amazing how good her sleeping skills are. Alarms? She sleeps through them. But she still stays on time ( she just doesn't sleep on nights when she has something important in the morning ).

“  of  course!  you  can  actually  just  e-mail  them  and  you  must  get  a  response  soon  enough.  i  know  making  calls  is  kind  of  scary  for  some  people.  ”  he  considered  that  even  though  eunha  didn’t  strike  him  as  one  of  those  people.  she  had  options.  seongjae  reached  to  lock  his  pinky  with  hers,  sealing  the  deal.  “  good.  i’ll  be  reminding  you  to  send  me  the  exact  date  so  i  can  really  help  out.  ”  he  said  and  even  though  the  tonality  of  his  voice  was  light,  he  wasn’t  joking.  it  could  only  be  a  little  of  a  struggle  if  his  exam  overlapped  with  hers  because  he  would  be  gone  a  day  prior.  “  now  what  did  you  say  about  going  out  for  a  walk–- ?  ”

jasper might be the only one that finds it endearing when jiho reaches for a comparably dangerous object to harm someone . he doesn't do that , ever , but the way his stares speak more than his actions kind of makes his companions and his band mates know that he might as well actually stab someone through the thigh or hand . not jasper though , never him . his eyes squeezed as he watched the other mimic him , then his brows raise , just to add to his expression of disapproval . ‘ you're testing my patience today . ‘ a somewhat fond warning , not a thing he means really . eventually , the younger puts his phone away , it's already buzzing with notifications which he forgot to mute . he pays little mind to it , more focused on jasper . ‘ the cat ears are okay , what's not okay is being called a babygirl . i'm twenty seven , for god's sake . ‘

“  i’m  glad  it’s  just  today.  ”  jasper  mused,  focused  on  his  drink  at  the  moment.  what  he  didn’t  expect  was  jiho  revealing  what fans  called  him–-  “  babygirl?!  ”  made  him  choke  on  his  drink,  turning  his  body  to  the  side  while  coughing  and  hitting  his  chest.  tears  welled  in  his  eyes  but  oddly  there  was  a  smile  etched  on  his  face.  he  found  that  to  be  rather  hilarious  and  jiho’s  expression  just  added  more  to  it.  “  jeez–-  for  real,  they  call  you  that?  ”  another  wave  of  laughter  hit  him,  this  time  able  to  let  it  out  properly.  bitten  by  the  laugh  bug!  “  i  think…  ”  he  began,  trying  his  best  to  regain  his  composure,  jasper  took  a  deep  breath.  “  the  cat  years  are  in  fact  not  okay–-  just  a  thought.  ”

༊⋆｡˚                       a moments peace felt good in retrospect —- the hustle and bustle of life often too o v e r w h e l m i n g for most souls . exhaustion piling within as she sat upon the sofa in the dainty coffee shop with a fantasy novel in her grasp . oh , how she loved to delve into such worlds . doe like hues focused ‘pon every single word as she transcribed herself into the world itself . imaginative creations in her mind , flowing out through and through before she was snapped from her reverie to a figure stood before her . eyes widening as she gazed up at him , ❛ you okay , sir ? ❜

after  a  job  well  done–-  having  yet  another  family  reunite,  hojoon  felt  like  he  could  grab  something  to  drink.  not  alcohol,  definitely  not  that  because  he  was  driving  home.  something  else  that  was strong enough to  keep  him  up  at  night.  blonde  roast,  his  favorite.  stopped  at  a  random  coffee  shop  he  had  never  been  to.  went  in  and  ordered,  took  a  few  minutes  for  his  order  to  arrive,  allowing  him  to  be  able  to  look  around.  the  ambience  was  good,  the  faint  jazzy  music  playing  in  the  background  added  to  the  mood  of  the  place.  decided  to  find  a  seat  and  stay  for  a  while,  enjoy  his  coffee.  while  making  his  way  to  where  he  was  planning  to  sit,  hojoon  noticed  a  young  woman  reading  a  book  he  thought  n o b o d y  else  knew  about.  a  pleasant  surprise.  her  voice  snapped  him  back  to  reality  and  her  flashed  her  a  reassuring  smile.  “  i’m  okay!  i  was  just  surprised  to  see  you  reading  that.  not  everyone  seems  to  enjoy  stories  that  include  dragons,  forbidden  love  and  such.  people  are  boring  nowadays. ”  he  shrugged,  mumbled  the last part to  himself  more  than  saying  it  out  loud.

her  face  lit  up,  the  sweetest  smile  adorning  her  features.  “  yes,  the  kiryu  one–-  ”  it  was  a  limited  edition  one  that  niko  had  been  trying  to  get,  add  to  her  collection  of  kazuma  kiryu  figures!  “  i  mean  …  if  it’s  too  much,  then  you  shouldn’t.  i’ll  get  it  some  other  time,  surely!  ”  realization  hit  her  that  it  must  be  more  expensive  than  the  normal  ones.  would  feel  guilty  to  have  suki  spend  a  lot  of  money  because  of  her  (  ––  well  she  would  return  them  as  soon  as  possible!  )  but  the  other  was  also  working  her  ass  off  at  a  foreign  land  to  earn  her  crazy  big  girl  money!  “  leave  it,  come  on!  ”  niko  took  the  figure  and  placed  it  back  on  the  shelf,  pulling  suki  along  with  her  to  drag  her  out.

“  exactly  my  thoughts!  ever  since  i’ve  witnessed  that,  i’ve  been  wondering  and  w o n d e r i n g.  as  you  pointed  out,  they  weren't  as  advanced  as  they  are  now  but  i  can  never  be  one  hundred  percent sure.  ”  his  gaze  followed  suki’s  movements  and  wondered  what  she  had  done–-  his  assumption  would  have  been  that  she  looked  up  what  he  had  just  told  her  about.  nodding  vigorously  in  a  reply  to  her  question,  milo  couldn’t  hide  both  his  fascination  and  excitement.  he  never  really  spoke  to  rin  about  his  interests  in  such  depth,  not  wanting  to  bore  her  to  death.  after  all,  the  topic  about  aliens  wasn’t  everyone’s  cup  of  tea.  “  please  do!  i  would  love  to  know  if  other  people  have  seen  this!  maybe  they  could  have  better  information  about  it  too!  ”  when  suki  mentioned  his  girlfriend,  milo  laughed.  “  i’m  sure  she  secretly  loves  it.  ”

Her gaze drops down to the plate in front of her when she hears he had a mistress. Why does such information upset her? She has to remind herself their marriage is just political. Technically, they both could have someone to please their needs on their side if they wanted to. She has witnessed other married people have someone on a side in their world. It's not uncommon ( though, people still like to keep such relationships hidden ). And he spoke of her in past - tense. She's not his mistress anymore. Her gaze returns to the female who still glances their way and she furrows her brows. "Please, make sure she's not welcomed here and I don't want to see her again." Of course, if the woman doesn't listen to him, she will make sure her words are heard one way or another.

nodding  in  agreement  to  his  bride’s  request,  yuji  excused  himself  and  disappeared  for  a  moment.  he  went  to  warn  the  guards  and  have  them  on  standby  just  in  case  before  making  his  way  to  where  his  ex-mistress  was  sitting.  the  look  on  her  face  was  menacing.  “  i’ll  ask  you  kindly–-  please  leave.  you’re  not  invited  to  this  event.  ”  by  the  look  on  the  woman’s  face  yuji  could tell she wouldn't just leave so he waved  his  hand,  signaling  for  his  guards  to  come.  “  did  you  really  replace  me  with  her?!  ”  she  shouted  but  thankfully,  the  music  that  played  in  the  background  was  enough  to  absorb  her  shouting.  the  guests  nearby  heard  but  the  rest  were  blissfully  unaware  of  the  situation.  the  woman  won’t  be  able  to  get  back  in  for  the  night  and  he  was  sure  to  later  gather  every  single  guard  and  give  the  new  orders–-  to  never  let  that  woman  in  again,  drive  her  away  by  force  if  it  must.  letting  out  a  soft  sign,  yuji  massaged  his  temples  and  soon  returned  by  his  wife’s  side.  “  i’m  sorry  to  make  you  wait,  yua.  ”

kiko doesn't hesitate to nod, wanting to start anew with him as soon as possible and leave all the negative behind them. perhaps it could finally be a fresh start for the both of them. " there are many places i could show you in japan. " after a little thought on it, maybe going there wouldn't be so bad. a new look on her home country with the love of her life by her side.

“  we’re  going  to  japan,  then.  maybe  i’ll  finally  hone  my  japanese  there!  ”  he  said  with  a  chuckle.  they  needed  to  move,  find  a  new  place  to  stay  and  build  a  home,  maybe  even  start  a  family.  he  was  fine  with  the  idea  of  remaining  in  japan  instead  of  going  to  hawaii.  chanyeol  was  willing  to  give  it  a  try  and  most  importantly  give  it  some  time  to  weigh  out  which  would  be  better  for  them. 

Ailee let out a soft, shaky laugh at his words, feeling a little lighter. "I guess you're right," she said quietly, her voice still a bit trembly. "I put so much pressure on myself. I thought I had it all figured out, but... things don’t always go as planned." She met his gaze, feeling comforted by his understanding, though the weight in her chest remained. His words about talking it out did make her pause. She appreciated it more than she could express, and for a brief moment, she felt a flicker of hope. Maybe she did need to talk more. "I... I really don’t know what’s next," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I know I’m lucky to have someone who cares." As he wiped her tears away, Ailee felt a small warmth spread through her, a brief sense of calm washing over her. She managed a weak smile at his attempt to cheer her up. "You’re right," she said, brushing her hand across her face to gather herself. "Yeah? Let’s see where you want to take me then." She tried to sound upbeat, though inside, she was still unsure of what the future held. "I'm in for anything right now."

“  dare  i  say–-  things  never  go  as  planned.  ”  or  maybe  they  did–-  as  many  times  as  he  can  count  on  the  fingers  of  one  hand.  there  were  things  that  couldn’t  be  controlled,  sadly.  this  was  the  case  with  ailee.  seongjae  hated  that  he  couldn’t  do  much  to  help  her  but  he  knew  he  could  at  least  listen  and  take  her  somewhere  where  she  could  forget  about  her  worries,  be  it  even  for  a  few  hours.  “  you’re  not  going  to  the  olympics  but  i’m  sure  there’s  other  competitions  coming  up  where  you  can  show  them  who’s  the  boss.  ”  a  gentle  nudge  followed  his  words,  trying  to  make  that  pretty  smile  of  hers  come  out.  “  there  we  go–-  not  the  brightest  smile  but  it's  still  better  than  tears!  ”  pushing  himself  off  his  seat,  seongjae  searched  his  pockets,  suddenly  aware  of  the  fact  he  wasn’t  feeling  the  weight  of  his  car  keys  in  his  pocket.  the  alarms  that  started  going  off  stopped  the  moment  he  noticed  them  on  the  floor–-  he  must  have  dropped  them,  now  retrieved  and  shoved  in  his  pocket  again.  “  well,  i  can  only  hope  you’ll  like  the  place.  it’s  at  least  an  hour  drive  though,  so  you  know.  ”

when she mentions that it's been a couple of hours, jaeho chuckles. he knew all too well how easily time could slip away when you're in the studio. " i was, but first i wanted to see how everyone is doing. do you want to grab something to eat together, or have something delivered to my office like we used to? " he can't help but to pat the top of her head. she may be grown but to him she will always be his little girl, especially when she acts so adorable.

aria  laughed  at  the  familial  gesture.  made  sure  to  save  her  files  before  closing  the  program  and  turning  her  attention  back  to  her  father.  “  let’s  get  something  delivered  to  your  office!  we  haven’t  done  that  in  …  f o r e v e r.  ”  she  jutted  out  her  lower  lip,  realising  just  how  things  have  changed–- how  she  was  now  mostly  spending  time  at  the  studio  instead  her  father’s  office  but  she  was  no  longer  a  child  who  would  twirl  on  his  chair  or  doodle  on  a  piece  of  paper  for  hours  without  bothering  anyone.  “  let’s  go!  ”  she  jumped  up  from  the  chair  and  stretched  her  arms  above  her  head.
