Werewolves. Beacon Hills pretty much relies on these hairy motherfuckers. It’s a surprise considering most of the murders are centered around these puppies. Pun most definitely intended. So far the werewolves that I know of in Beacon Hills are: Scott McCall, Derek Hale, Cora Hale, Peter Hale, Boyd, Issac Lahey. Not including the Alpha Pack. You can find them here. A werewolf is more or less part man, part wolf. Two known ways of being turned are bitten, and deeply scratched. There are three types of werewolves: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. An Alpha is pretty much the boss in the pack. It is by far the strongest and most lethal of all. To become an Alpha, a beta wolf must kill the existing one. Alpha’s eyes glow red. (Other two colored eyed are blue and yellow, but theories aside, I’m not certain what they mean. A beta can be born or made from a bite. A beta who is born is in more control than a one bitten. When Beta’s turn, they’re transformations aren’t as complete as those of an Alpha. They grow fangs, claws, and fur but remain in human form. Creepy, if you ask me. Turns Scott into one ugly mother- Moving on. Betas transformations are triggered by, besides the full moon, strong emotions like anger, remorse, hormones. Whereas pain can reverse the transformation. An omega is probably one of the craziest werewolves. Whether their pack has been murdered or they chose on some stupid impulse to leave - Omegas are lone-wolves or without a pack, making them physically weaker. When a werewolf bites there are only two outcomes: Transformation or death. Except for those who can’t full transform (see Kanima) and those immune, like Lydia Martin. Now to the best part, the only part that makes this whole full moon induced killing machine seem amazing. The powers. Also known as the reasons Scott gets to be Batman and I’m Robin. Some powers include: strength, speed, agility, healing, and heightened senses. There is also pain transference. Werewolves can absorb and alleviate pain from others. Another is Memory Transference. Demonstrated by Peter Hale, werewolves transfer memories by inserting their claws into the nape of one’s neck. You only get flashes, but it can be pretty damn useful. And then there’s the worst part of being a werewolf. Every supercreature must have their weaknessess. Two weaknesses are Wolfsbane and Mountain Ash. And Hunters but they’re not really a weakness as an annoying bee buzzing in your ear waiting to sting. But they can be pretty deadly.
