15 years ago I was on my way home for lunch. I walked past St. Mikes and heard the radio on over the PA system. I had no idea what was happening. I walked into my Dads apartment and he told me "America is under attack". I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The North Tower was on fire. I headed back to school thinking it was just a serious incident and would be nothing major. When I got back everyone was gathered in the gym watching as the second plane hit the South Tower. I knew then and there this would be someone I would never EVER forget. It's hard to stop every year and think about it, but today was special. I got a chance to touch a piece of history. A piece from the South Tower. Things I notice about it are the fact it's bent in some places. It's not an easy feat to bend steel. Also the history behind this piece. Not only 9/11 but the history behind the Twin Towers. It's something I'll never forget. #neverforget #911memorial #september11 #15yearslater
